Listen to me, you did not show me where Fortenberry, Brent, Paul, Rob, JB, ANYONE besides yourself said that we wouldn't take a commitment from Buie. How hard is that to understand? You can spin it however you want but nothing definitely says we wouldn't take a commitment from him.

I don't claim to know more than anyone else, unlike yourself. You implied that since others only had a knowledge of recruits along the lines of star rating, that you knew more than them.

That's fine. I've seen both their films and Buie is more impressive in every aspect. There is no way the staff would take Buie over Young in my opinion.

Not really. Film on DY is pretty amazing taking in the fact he played on a ****ty team.

They aren't the ones saying it. YOU said that we wouldn't take a commitment from Buie then you brought to my attention that Fortenberry said something that backed your statement...but actually he didn't.

If you can find me where I said anything other than Fortenberry telling us how our RB board was shaping up, I will rest my case.

If you do not understand that Buie is not in our top 2 options, then I cannot help you realize that we would not take his commitment right now.

While Bearden isn't Maryville, they aren't that ****ty of a team. And Buie plays good competition in Florida, while East Tennessee is not good football.

And for every Randall Cobb local fans, there's a Tyler Maples, Rae Sykes, Josh Hawkins, Brandon Warren, and Dustin Lindsey.

Since lyls needs for me to slow it down a bit:

When I said this, PF said our recruiting board was Marlin, Milton, and then the rest.

This means that Marlin and Milton are the top 2 RBs on the board.

We are in great shape with both RBs.

Therefore, we would not take a commitment from someone lower on our board right now.

It's really not that hard to understand.

Everyone acts like they know more than everyone else. I've seen the same post numerous times on how Buie is a guaranteed player at the next level and that Devrin Young will just be a waste of Knoxville's oxygen supply.

Some people, and I'm not implying that you're one of them, aren't cut out to follow this whole recruitment deal because they get their panties in a wad over the littlest things.

I know. That's my point. Other than Randall Cobb, I can't think of a legit East TN. college player (Tyler Robinson is still in limbo in that regard).

By the way, I must say I took great pride in watching UK's bowl game and seeing Tyler Robinson have Friendsville, TN listed as him hometown. Gotta represent.

Well this kid sucks because all of the other kids from this region weren't legit. Sounds pretty flawed.

I'm still looking where Fortenberry actually said something backing your claim. You can slow it down to a complete halt and nothing backs you on what you said.

I'd think it'd be crazy unless they know something I don't. Maybe Buie's got attitude problems. Maybe they feel he's not as good as everyone is projecting them. I don't know. While I do trust my football judgement, obviously the staff knows a hell of a lot more than me. I should have rephrased "Taking Young over Buie would be puzzling."

So we are going to take someone on our board that is lower when we have 5 or 6 spots left even though 2 of the guys on our board that we are in great shape for haven't committed?
