'11 SC S Pat Martin - UT Signee

I have a feeling this kid will be a 'Cock. I think we get Walls instead.

Any way that Walls could be moved to Corner and we still pull Martin at Safety?

We seem to be in on a lot of good Safety prospects and not that many Corners and LBs.

We already have Randolph committed and are high on the list for Walls, Martin, and Kadetrix Marcus.

Kadetrix has good size--possible move to LB, perhaps?

It's bittersweet to be in on so many good prospects at one position like this because we can only get so many unless we move some around to other positions.

I think we take Countess at CB, and Torrey Campbell.

They need at least 2 or 3 safeties in this class. It's a huge need and early PT is a lock if the player is good enough.

Martin and Walls are the kind of pickups that begin to get your roster back to upper echelon SEC caliber.

Quote from Pat Martin......

“Tennessee is coming on strong. Coach Dooley and Joseph send me hand written letters all the time. They are one of my top schools."

Okay, now that's cool. Sending hand written letters has to make a strong impression. Smart recruiting tactic if you ask me.

Glad to see Martin visiting this weekend. I saw him play last season and was very impressed. I would love to land either him or Walls to go along with Randolph at Safety for this class.

Twitter|JCShurburtt - Safety Pat Martin (Greenville, SC) says Tennessee is now his leader.

Edit: Oops... you beat me to it.

Good player...

Showed out at Alabama Nike Camp: "Pat Martin (Greenville, S.C./J.L. Mann) was another impressive safety. Martin is a downhill player who loves to come up and make the big hit but he looked just as comfortable playing in space and made several nice plays on the ball. Martin stands right at 6-0 but has a strong body and should have a smooth transition to the college game because of how physically tough he is."
