This. I get the jokes about Vandy. I get it... but they seriously keep mentioning them in their top lists. At some point this transitions from a joke to serious and I'm afraid it may catch us a little by surprise.

Obviously kidding. Seriously though, Redmond is plenty good enough to get an offer. Plus, he is evidently extremely fast. East is going to rack-up the points this year.

Memphis East apparently had a 3 team scrimmage in late April with Olive Branch (MS) and Ridgeway HS, both of which have some fine prospects. I heard that Kimbrow was ok in the scrimmage, but Redmond was tearing it up.

Reports were that Redmond had multiple punt and kickoff returns for TD's and did not have a return under 60 yards.

I still think that when Redmond gets the Vol offer, TN will magically pop back up on Kimbrow's list.

I can see that happening. Kimbrow will change his attitude when Redmond get a scholly.

I hear different things. One is he is waiting on Redmond to get a scholly. Second, the vols aren't really recruiting him any more. I don't know which is which.

Yep, and here locally I have heard that they are really intent on playing together in college. IMO, they are just playing the game really well.

I think this Vandy stuff will wear off as well once they return to the field, unless Franklin can waive a magic wand. It's one thing to talk a big game, but another to back it up on the field. Also, some of those recruits he has gotten out of GA, lets see if they stick if/when offered by bigger teams as we move forward.

TN is definitely recruiting both.

I still think that Robinson will have the better career of all the Memphis prospects though.

I forget which thread I read that UT has backed off of Kimbrow, but I just don't believe that as much as CDD wants to build a fence around TN that he wouldn't recruit Kimbrow and Robinson really hard.

Why would they have backed off Kimbrow? If it isn't for character issues (which I haven't heard anything about) then it shouldn't be happening.

Highly doubt we backed off of him. Coaching staffs don't usually back-off of their #1 overall prospect on the big board.

I would have to question that is is #1 overall on TN's board. Kid is good, but there are far better player overall. This class will not live and die with Kimbrow.

I am going to need the link to where Dooley said that. Considering it would be a NCAA violation and all to talk about Kimbrow publicly.

More than 1 kid hears this line, or a version of this line.

Like I said, Kimbrow is good, but this class will not make or break without him. If it came down to a 5* DT and Kimbrow with one spot left, I am taking the DT.
