13' PF Johnathan Williams III

I don't know that anyone has not taken officials this year but committed. Maybe Sam Craft who is officially on ftball SS next year (walk on in BB).

JWIII definitely isn't considering Memphis. I've said that here before. I still say Nichols, JWIII nor Hubbs will be at Memphis. That's pretty much 100%.

Ok so my point was valid? That jw3 Not OVing Memphis tells me they're not a serious contender, point being they're not a serious contender?

That's crazy, mang.

I don't think you can necessarily assume that a local kid won't be attending Memphis because he isn't taking an OV. I am saying that JWIII (IMO) won't be considering Memphis.

From my recollection most kids who take OVs, OV the school they wind up committing to.

Good possibility but there are others in the game now.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised to see Mizzou make a push. Also, with Izzo involved, that's another wild card.

Memphis is far from out of it though, although it's safe to say they don't lead. They do have the luxury of being the hometown school, so they may be in it to the end.

Not a surprise to me, as I've said I didn't think they were a huge player, but Memphis is reportedly out of it for J3.

Also, the statement was that Memphis likely won't get any other city kids in this class...so no Nichols or J3. Once again, not a surprise to me, but tiger faithful sure thought they had a shot at those two.

Now that's funny! For weeks if not the last month or two, the Memphis faithful (plus MC and a few UT posters) have been trying to convince YOU and the world that UM has little, if any, chance "at those two". Now, you're going to sit back and take credit for what you didn't really believe (until now)?

"tiger faithful sure thought they had a shot at those two" --- is flat out a cheap shot. Two or more months ago? Yeah, as good a shot as anyone. The last 4 - 6 weeks? Even posters on VN knew better; the handwriting was everywhere. We had a shot until we didn't. We've moved on to Powell, Iverson, Coleby and others. Three down, three to go.

Dude, why are you here?

Are you Fing joking me? MC has said on this board and memphis boards he feels MEMPHIS leads for J3 and that they are DEFINITELY in his top 3. I've been saying for awhile tenn g town and maybe Mizzou are his top 3...if you go back a few pages you'd see this. I also recently said him not taking an OV to Memphis is telling and that I don't think he's serious in Memphis, memphis fans came to argue that...

You wanna ban bet this?

JWIII DEFINITELY ISN'T CONSIDERING MEMPHIS.

BTW that above post from MC saying Memphis is far from out of it, and they may be in it to the end was from 5 days ago.

Do you need me to provide more quotes, or do you want to just go ahead and leave now?

I've stated all along that JW3 is headed to Georgetown, being that he wants to play SF he would perfect in the Princeston Offense. His older brother playing for Geoge Mason will also influence his decison.
FWIW........Nick King didn't take an OV to Memphis yet he's still a Tiger, some Vols figured he was serious about UT just because of an UV.

King also didn't take an OV to any school, which is what the op said.

You also said if hubbs Nichols or j3 come to Tennessee you'll leave this board right?

JW3 and his dad think he's a small forward.

Not sure that is realistic.

Either way, Memphis recruited Nick King as a small forward. It would be counterproductive for Memphis to recruit a local player if there's a disagreement right off the bat over what position he should play. Thus, Memphis and JW3 have parted ways.

Similar circumstances with Jujuan Johnson, who was unhappy with Memphis taking Markel Crawford's commitment before he was ready to commit. No point in taking someone who will be unhappy.

Memphis took a PG, which means they're out for Chris Jones.

Memphis will hang around with Austin Nichols as long as he is uncommitted, but that's it for the Memphis kids in 2013. FWIW, Duke's in-home went extremely well. K making a push.

being that you are the "crème de la crème" of quoting other posters, retrieving my post shouldn't be an issue for you.
