So that wasn't an exact quote yet you said that one thing he said was "he wasn't feeling the love from Memphis"?

This is kinda like when someone said he was a pre Madonna and Chris asked for evidence/examples of how and nobody could provide it.

*prima donna

Spelling Soviet out.

Nope, someone on the radio said that. i didn't hear it out of his mouth or read a quote. That's what I got out of the story.

That was me (the 'prima donna' statement) and I said it was my opinion. There is no 'proof' of my opinion.

I can understand how one would come to that conclusion, but I think "indecisive" is a better word.

Idk, it's all everyone's opinion. I've thought the whole, he wants the spotlight and wants to be far and away the best player has always been a crock. Look at his AAU team, he plays alongside Chris Chiozza, Riley Norris and Marcanvis Hymon. There were MULTIPLE games this year in which he was the 3rd option on his AAU team.

He could've pulled a Skal and switched AAU teams 5 times in one summer, but he didn't, in fact I've never heard one single mention about him being unhappy with him AAU team. If he wanted to be the guy, and hog the spotlight he could've gone and played for just about any other AAU team and been the guy, but instead he chose to play on a team consisting of at least 3 other high major players.

That doesn't scream prima donna to me, but what do I know.

He's that as well. I'm sure I would be too. Big decision.

No, SJAVol, I'm not fighting with anyone here. I simply stated my opinion.

Like I said, I lost interest in Black a while back. Memphis will be fine without him. So will UT if he goes somewhere else.

IMO......Skal's biggest problem (as with a lot of kids) are the people in his 'camp'. I don't think that's the deal with Black.

Agree as far as people in his camp...

JMO like I've said, if black wanted to be THE guy, that would also reflect in AAU, an not magically pop up in college for the first time.

Que Sera, Sera.

I was concerned about what Black would do to Memphis' team chemistry, as were most Memphis fans. I would've taken Leron had he wanted to come to Memphis, but Pastner has been more interested in other post players, as he should be.

Looks like Illinois will be landing him, best of luck to Black.

Can't believe it. Memphis fans "don't want" what they aren't getting. Black and Chiozza. Skal is on deck.

"well you know, Skal just wouldn't fit into Josh's offensive system, we don't like getting undersized (weight) centers, etc?"

Exactly. If they landed either they'd be the second coming of sliced bread.

If/when they miss on Alexander and Skal those guys will also be tagged as prima donnas and guys that would cause chemistry issues.

Don't act like I haven't been saying exactly what I'm saying today for the past few months.

I also don't care about Chiozza.

I care about Skal, he's a player.

We've always had an outside shot at Alexander, and he's for real. I don't care if a guy has a top 10 player mentality if he's an actual top 10 player. Black strikes me as a top 30-40 player with a top 10 player mentality. Not losing sleep over him.

Skal is going to be a massive impact player for whomever gets him, I hope it's Pastner.

So Skal is no longer guaranteed to be...

We know you've been saying it for months. He was never going to Memphis and you knew it. Hence, you didn't want him.

I never said that I thought we didn't have a chance. We obviously thought we had a chance, as he's been the main focus of Robert Kirby since he's been on staff.

But good luck to the young man, on the off chance he goes to UTK we'll enjoy beating him. If he goes to Illinois like it appears he will, I hope he has a great career there.

That would require Pastner to stop being a pu$$y and actually play Tennessee in the future.
