Finally, while Kendall Bussey Jr. is saying he is finished with his recruitment, I wouldn't shut that door all the way, yet. Hearing there is still some conversations going on and while he still remains committed to Nebraska I don't know that it's completely over.

I keep seeing everyone knocking Reid's speed.. So he must play against the slowest league in the country because he outruns everyone in his tape.

He was on twitter the other day bragging about running a 4.64 40. He's slow.

I think his speed is fine. His power is fine. His running style is just fine. I would not have traded Reid for any of the RBs still on UTs board. With him now taking visits, IMO his spot is up for grabs. If UTs coaches can find someone to fill it, I think they will. If they can't, maybe Reid still has a chance to be a Vol.

If I am CBJ and Vaughn wants the spot, I take him today and cut ties with Rocky. JMO

RB's that are his size and run better than 4.64 are actually in the minority. I have no idea about how good Reid will be in college. But peoples gross misrepresentation of 40 times is so tired. Not to mention, on field/in pads speed and 40 times are not the same thing.

So why do you think CBJ took his commitment months and months ago? He seems to have seen something he liked.

I can see it now. CBJ and company around the war room table talking RBs. "So he slow, has no explosiveness, and no agility"?

I'm totally cool with Kamara and Reid only. I think if Love wanted to commit it would be hard to turn him away though. But Stanford may be his pick regardless.

Doubt that's the case. If Dauphine or Love wanna be Vols I see no way they get turned away.

Chubb has a laser timed 4.44 forty since someone was comparing the two earlier. Speed matters. A lack of speed at several positions is why we sucked so badly during the Dooley years.

To be clear, he is slow, has zero explosiveness, zero lateral agility BUT Tennessee coaches extended an offer and accepted a commitment. And UGA coaches just invited him on campus to evaluate him and possibly extend an offer. I do not know if he will be a successful college RB. And anybody being honest with themselves on here, know that they have no idea either. But your representation of him is just plain stupid. Maybe Reid's dad/uncle took your starting spot when you where playing in that ultra competitive pee-wee league?

Yes, I fully understand there are a few exceptions. IMO you would find a lot more NFL RBs who run closer to 4.6 than 4.4 north of 220LBS.

At the time he thought maybe this guy can get much faster and more agile. He didn't and we are in on some far better backs. That's how I see it.

My bad. I keep forgetting that Rocky Reid is above criticism on Volnation.

Rocky Reid is a cross between Barry Sanders, Jamal Lewis and Ghandi.

His tears cure cancer and his apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Does Reid have Senior film to make that statement? He looks plenty explosive for his size to me in highlights. I haven't seen his Sr. stuff though but in looking at his offers tells me he is a good running back. Those are all running back schools that churn them out yearly.

If he is this bad why on earth is Georgia trying to get him? Is it because they had a terrible track record in evaluating RB's?

No you missed it. I'm the biggest Rocky Reid fan of all now. I am currently in the process of writing a letter to all of the recruiting sites chastising them for not having Reid ranked as a five star, number one player in the country.

In fact I am going to suggest they make him the first ever six star. It's just a travesty they can't see his greatness the way volnation does.
