'15 NC RB Rocky Reid (Wake Forest commit)

Per Hubbs

As for Tennessee commitment Rocky Reid, he's expected to be in Georgia this weekend to see the Dawgs and after talking to several people this week he would be a take for Georgia most likely. UGA wants two running backs in this class and their lone running back commitment is looking at several other schools right now, including Louisville.

Why flip now after being committed for soooooo long? Especially when UT is trending upward and UGA is trending downward? Also, UGA still has a stable of quality RBs. The Vols are still two backs away from a quality host of talented backs.

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Not sure why, but I know it doesn't help when people have been bashing him all over his thread!!!:banghead2:

Not sure if crushing Auburn and then winning the East after we beat Mizzou (like how I added that?) constitutes as "trending downward."

They're going to be 10-2.

What's funny? It's true.

Very seldom my friend, I deal with plenty of recruits. It's not often that msg board material runs a kid off. It could add to other bad elements as was the case of Jalen Rsmsey. Nothing is ever strictly due to a msg board. If you believe that i hv some swamp land to sell you in Arizona

I don't know about swampland in Arizona, but beach front property in Minnesota would be great!

Only thing that concerns me with Reid is that he might see a better opportunity to get playing time early at UGA.

If Gurley leaves, Chubb and Michel are the next in line. But they use a stable of running backs and Reid could see playing time next year.

Here, Hurd, Scott, and Kamara are definitely going to be ahead of him on the depth chart. Plus, the way we have been rotating as of late seems to be 80% Hurd. I don't think this will change much next year and if it does, I think Kamara might be the beneficiary.

Just my opinion. Still would love Rocky. Go Vols!

How do they present a better opportunity? Hurd and Kamara is the same as Michel and Chubb. We'd ise a stable if Scott was healthy when he had gotten here

I think we will see alot of hurd and kamara in the backfield together or kamara split out. He's just too explosive to be on the bench 80 percent of the time.

This. And Hurd won't be getting 80% of the snaps at RB as stated in the post you replied to either. He's all we've got this year so he has to carry the load. AK will play a lot. I'm excited to see some 2 back sets with Hurd and AK.

No way that he has a better chance to play at GA! Chubb, Michel, and Marshall have all showed the GA staff that they can contribute at the SEC collegiate level. Any freshman coming in to that is behind all three of them not to mention possibly Douglas.

UT has Hurd that showed the staff that he can contribute at the SEC collegiate level. Although, most would say Kamara is going to come in right and contribute and they are more than likely right. But the fact is UT easily offers a much greater chance at him seeing the field early!

Sounds like Scott is transferring

I do not think Hurd will get 80% next seaso.. I am not even sure he will be the the starter for a lot of the games...

Hurd is a beast, but AK has some serious skills also... Not positive, but I think AK was the ranked the 2nd best back coming out of high school....

I could be wrong though....

One thing for sure is that we are going to have some serious RBs over the next couple of seasons...
