'15 NM QB Zach Gentry

I really wanted Zach, but this might play out even better! Torrence Gibson and the rest of the convo group coming here would equal instant success!

Noteworthy point. I've tried (and failed) to bring this into discussion a couple of times since it was brought to our attention that this group was talking and lobbying each other to pool their talents in the same place. If Gentry committed here, Gibson would not have, potentially affecting the eventual destination of said group that wants to play together.

Worried about this. If we are to take the next step as a program we have to land an elite QB. I have been worried about this since we did not take a QB last cycle.

If we want to take the next step as a program then we need to show that we can develop a QB. We have three four stars on campus now. And we can't even pull one of them out of the crowd.

If one on one workouts with Peyton can't do it, you have to question the stars

It's 1 QB off the board. Coaches plan for this. When you recruit elite kids your gonna have some head scratchers.

This is a competent staff, they were obviously smart not to put all their eggs in 1 basket. We still have options and other targets can emerge. Idk who it'll be but I think we're gonna land a quality 2nd QB if we really want one.

Based on his quotes to TX media it was the relationship carrying over from Louisville and they won't be much competition when he gets to campus to challenge him day 1.

Interpretation - I'm scared of Dobbs and Fergy lol

Going from NM to TN is a pretty long way. I'm not sure I would have gone that far away for college. Hard for me to fault him for choosing the city of Austin either.

Gentry made his decision based on what was best for him. Wish him luck. I'm sure CBJ has already moved on as well. We want someone who wants to be a VFL and that will happen.

We didn't want him any way. He's not SEC material. Not enough stars. His feet were going to be way to big our OL would step on them all the time. He would be another Bray.

Have I covered all our bases? Did I leave anything out?

Probably wind up getting hit in the knee first time he tries to run and end up like Lattimore did at USCe.
