They currently have only two midstate kids committed. Givens, who may or may not had a committable offer, and Ordway, that Tennessee backed off because his grades. Tennessee on the other hand has Jennings, Jones, Perry, Bruce, and Oliver committed from the midstate while they lead for Phillips and Amadi. I think Butch Jones is doing a pretty good job owning that part.
If you begin to look at it very closely what guy outside Richmond do they have that we couldn't have had committed to us right now? Van would have been a Vol had we not signed P. Will., which makes me believe he's afraid of the competition. Ugo wanted to be a Vol, and we slow played him. Plus, Ugo is no longer going to Ole Miss. Givens probably would have been a Vol too, but we slow played him for Richmond. In terms of Ordway, did we really push for him hard? Phillips looks like a LSU lean right now.
Point is, most these guys could have been Vols had our staff pursued them from the get go. Our staff made a bad error in placing all their money on Richmond, and then to make matters worse, they let the fool back at UT where he began to recruit Phillips, Van etc to Ole Miss. Richmond used our money to recruit against us. Had we not been scared of losing Richmond from the get go, we'd probably be sitting with commitments from OL such as Allen, Givens, etc. Staff dropped the ball on the OT recruiting this year as far as I'm concerned.
Probably not.
However, if Tracy Rocker was to leave UGA for CSU, then I could see Van decommitting. Would then probably be Ole Miss though.
Not true man BoBo was a major recruiter for Van. He is hysterical right now being that he's an EE. He is in a scramble for what he should do. I have spoken to his dad and one of our coaches and this could really help UT or Ole Piss. IMO it helps UT the most because Ole Miss just recently got in this party. I really think the tOSU love has faded.

You speak as if you know all this to be fact but a lot of what you're saying is false. On the Richmond issue sometimes somebody wants something and are willing to stoop to uncanny levels to get it and it cost you. The rest you're way off basis. This staff works hard and relentlessly to get it done so speak on what you know and less opinion. If you begin to look at it very closely what guy outside Richmond do they have that we couldn't have had committed to us right now? Will and Van talk frequently and there's none of what you speak of that true in this case. Ugo wanted to be a Vol, and we slow played him. Plus, Ugo is no longer going to Ole Miss. Givens probably would have been a Vol too, but we slow played him for Richmond. In terms of Ordway, did we really push for him hard? Cam couldn't qualify for Nashville St when he committed to Ole Miss, Phillips looks like a LSU lean right now.

No doubt about Bobo. He was a big-time recruiter on that staff.
The VQ guys insist TN is not a factor for Van because he's an EE. They just say it and leave it at that. Are they totally off-base on that? I certainly hope you are right about TN still being a factor with him. Another WR or two is a must in this class IMO.
For whatever reason, it seems that VQ mods think there was a falling out between Van and UT. It honestly came out of nowhere that Van wanted nothing to do with UT.
Wow. Doubt Tee Martin would leave Cali but I could see randy sanders possibly jumping ship.Tee Martin and Randy Sanders make the short list for UGA.
