I hate this for him. It's the bad side of recruiting. I hope his offer was conditional and it was explained up front that this could happen. Probably not though.

Which confirms we recruited him for slot and not the secondary. Wonder if Henderson or Johnson survive? We may end up replacing all of our WR commits except George.

Saw this coming for awhile now. I just wondered if it was going to be him or the wr out of La. Hate it for the kid, but it happens. I like the way he handled it, didn't bash UT or the coaches. Good luck to the young man.

Tadarryl seems like a good kid. He will find a good school for himself. I'm just glad we did this 2 months before signing day, and not 2 weeks.

Still wrong. Butch has done this every year. Accept too many 3 stars early in the year just to cut them loose and piss off the high school staff. He's surprised himself with his own recruiting success. Thought he would learn by now. Easy. Don't accept marginal commits early and create a numbers prob

Not a big fan of this myself but don't act like Butch is the only one who does this...

Was I condoning it for anyone else? Don't apologize for him just because it's your favorite team. If Alabama had done we would all say they screwed the guy to make room. Which is exactly what we did. Wrong is wrong and you can get a good measure of a man in how he responds to situations like this. Any of you who rationalize it can't claim we got a family atmosphere here and that VFL means anything. The man knew he had a numbers prob and has put the young man in a bad spot. He sure can't official on a game day now

A little late here but are we thinking this was done because the coaches feel good about Jones? If so, I sure do hope that Jones ends up signing.

No it's not. Nobody forced butch to say to hell with the numbers and deprive a young man to properly explore his options. If I'm a 3 star and committed to butch I'm nervous until my fax is accepted If I notice it other coaches and players sure have

Its not pretty but It's part of the game if you want to win championships. Upgrading. We all knew this was coming for a few commits this year just like previous years.

At least Butch doesn't wait until February.

TD will find a spot somewhere else. I wish him well.
