Nope, he was a big freaking kid at 17. Around 230 and filled out pretty well. He just got bigger.TALENT is in the southern middle Tennessee area. Look at D'ante Hightower, Bo Wallace, Shaq Mason (3 year starter all-acc GT OL), Tiny Richardson (Mt. Pleasant), Aaron Medley to name a few recents off the top of my head.
One problem is Birmingham is close on 65 and the Bama fans infect the area like a disease. We have missed on several of these kids. I always wanted to puke every time I watched Hightower dominate. He should've been a Vol. I'd love to se this kid in Orange. I played against his Uncle and a few of his family members. They were good and his uncle was fast. I bet Cam Newton was a skinny kid at 16. I hope he keeps his grades up.

Well, I have been wrong before but as of now Cam is 6'5" 245. So he has only put on 15 pounds since high school. My point though is that teens are skinny. Tylin will put on weight.

He seems to place the ball very well on the deep ball. I know it is a highlight reel but he seems very accurate and throw the ball well both in and out of the pocket.
Watched him play this year and looked pretty good. He is probably the skinniest football player I have ever seen though.
I couldn't remember the year bc I wasn't alive so I did a little research. They won single A in 1986 over South Pitt. Orlando "Papa" Wade was Mr. Football in 85 and 86 and went on the Mississippi State.
This was in the 1A days around the time the GM plant was built in Spring Hill. Papa Wade is one of the best athletes to ever come out of Maury County, bar none. Academics got him at Miss. State. The school has grown by leaps and bounds since those days. It's a 3A school that's still growing. Their game with Columbia Central was a 34-33 thriller.
Like Independence right up the street, the schools in this area are only going to produce more D1 athletes as time goes on. They are there in baseball and close in football and basketball.
