Everyone knows we have zero DT help, but outside Shy, Kmac, and JuCos we have recruited freshman DT projects. Same is said for OT. At the end of the day, when you come to UT like Butch did, you have to overload your recruiting classes the first few years with OT, DT, DEs, and LBs. That's how you win in this league, but you have to overload with SEC level talent. Counting Mosley, we have recruited 3 4 star or above high school DT players in 4 years under Butch, that will not cut it in the SEC. Kongbo and Johnson make it 5 4 star or above DTs all together, but Kongbo has never played the position. KP is a DE and should be played as such. I believe Butcher is a DE as well, and he can't stay healthy.

This is all true and that has been somewhat of a recruiting failure by Butch. But, they have gone after elite DTs and missed, so they know how important it is. I would rather them not add a ton of warm bodies just to fill spots. Have to do better in that front for sure tho. We could close strong there this year.

Ok reassuring, but the confusion shown the last few games wasn't present. Players kept to their responsibilities better, and the tackling was SO much better than we have seen for a while.

Yeah, but that's just basic stuff that any coaches should their guys doing.

If guys not being confused is the bar for remarkable performance, there are 60-70 FBS defenses giving remarkable performances every week lol

Not where it counted. We lost our 1's, 2's and some 3's on defense. We havent had a draft pick in 2 years. Use some common sense. It was terrible luck.

We had the talent to beat south Carolina and VANDERBILT which we did not do. Butch was out coached by an ogre and a man at vandy we've made fun of numerous times for his pathetic coaching

Me too but we as fans alumni whatever are going to have to support whom ever it is. I am notsaying that he is the answer but we are going to have it for however long it is and who knows what could happen next year.
