'17 TN DL Rutger Reitmaier (Oregon commit)

It may have already been said but I didn't want to read through all the pages. I am fine with taking him if you like him better than any of the 2018 guys we are in on. However, we are in on some and already have very very good '18 guys.

I thought that since he signed with Oregon , enrolled there for a semester, if he transferred to Tennessee, then he would sit a year then count against the 85 roster not a particular class.

Any one know?
Thanks

Pretty sure any transfer but a graduate transfer qualifies as an initial counter.

Hard to say. There's interest there from both parties. Let's see what comes of it. Like I said in thread earlier today, he still hasn't publicly announced his transfer yet.

Posted a thread on this earlier today. There's interest there. We'll see what happens. Hoke was someone who recruited him to Oregon before getting fired. RR would have to sit out the 2017 season because he signed a NLI and enrolled early this spring.

He has been wanting to transfer from Oregon for a while now. Up to this point family has told him he had to stick to his commitment. He is homesick and there is a girl involved living in Tennessee which makes it tough for him to be in Oregon. Tennessee might have an outside shot, but he has been heading to Vandy for months now.

I get why it's concerning, but we don't even know the story. Maybe he doesn't like the coaching staff? Maybe something happened out there to make him believe he's made a bad decision. Who knows. Maybe someone in his family is sick and he wants to be close to them. Could be any number of things

Maybe he don't like how Coach T dri dat bus..TBay folks will get that one :)

Hmmmm... I'm pretty sure he would only count against the 85 since he had enrolled at Oregon.

I'm pretty sure that if he's within 2 years of his original signing class he will go against the 25. Otherwise Saban would send kids to other schools for a year so he could get around the annual limit.
