Me and my coach talked after (defensive backs) coach (Willie) Martinez had left and went to Cincinnati about the possibility that Coach Z would leave, Taylor said. We were prepared for this, and I want to let everyone know I have a good relationship with (offensive coordinator Larry) Scott and (offensive line) coach (Walt) Wells, but a great relationship with Coach Jones.
Now that both of the coaches I was recruited by Tennessee are gone, I want to let every program know that I am open to everyone. I not only want to find the right school, but I also want to be able to find that coach that I know I can build not only a relationship with, but one thats going to make me a man I want to be for the next four to five years after football.
With all that being said, Im still committed to the University of Tennessee, but Im open to all schools.
I feel that, if I didnt have the relationship that I have with Coach Jones and Coach Scott or Coach Wells, I would be looking at a decommitment right now, Taylor said. But I have so much trust in those guys that theyll bring in the right guy.
I want to stay committed, and I'm going to wait and see who Coach Jones brings in, and Im going to try to build that relationship with that new wide receiver coach. But if I feel that theres not a good relationship building between me and him, or my feeling's a little bit different with Tennessee, then Ill start to look elsewhere.
But for now Im still committed, and Im just going to sit back and wait and see who he hires and what kind of relationship I can build with that coach.
