2012 Silly Season Discussion

After working with the Busch brothers back-to-back, Addington should count his blessings with this move.

yeah, because Tony is always talking about rainbows and puppy dogs with his crew.

Addington just likes be talked down too.

Yeah, but over the last 2 years kurt seems to have started out races fast but fades in the pack late. Is that the driver or the crew chief? Whoever takes Addingtons place better have a good long sit down with Penske and Busch. If I was addington and Busch talked to me and the crew the way he did at times I would have dragged him out of the car by those big ears and stomped a mud hole in him.

yeah, i bet he's the first driver that ever cussed over his radio.

Every driver has done it from time to time. Kurt has went a little over board. There were a few races that he talked to addington and the crew like they were a group of monkeys. That really makes them want to hurry or make the right adjustment.

You don't have to get all defensive every time somebody posts about one of your Busch boys. I'm a Stewart fan. He's no angel. That being said I don't argue with everyone who doesn't like him or something he's done.

You, just about every time the name Busch is brought up. I think just about everyone that posts in the forum would agree. For the record though, I didn't say argue. I said you get defensive. I said I don't argue with people every time they say something bad about Stewart.

the Busch brothers get a large amount of attention on this forum. most don't like them, i do. next time i will agree with the group despite the fact i disagree, since that's how a thread works.

in the meantime, who else would you like to for me to agree with you on?

Nobody said you have to disagree or agree. Most of the time your responses are taken like you think they do no wrong and feel the need to defend their honor. Like I said, Stewart has done alot of stupid stuff. I just don't let it get to me when people talk bad about him.(unless i've had too much to drink...)

Many, if not most drivers at the upper levels of motorsports are at best arrogant, some more closer to being a true a-hole. It seems to be a trait necessary to excel in the sport. To reach the top level takes not only driving skill, but a mentality of me first, screw you if you are in my way.

A developing driver will accept a ride that he needs to advance his career, and have that team take him to the next level by leaving it for a better offer with little if any remorse, or even a look back.

To retain the top level once reached requires being willing to do whatever it takes to stay there. Just as Tony Stewart said, "I'd wreck my mother to win a championship, I'd wreck your mother to win a championship", funny, but he really wasn't joking.

The adage "Nice guys finish last" had to be originally meant for auto racing.

How do you figure? Those things never happened to my knowledge.

You know exactly what he was talking about. You brought up Harvick in a conversation about the Busch brothers as if Harvick and the Busch's are the same even though both Busch brothers have had issues with sponsors and being fired from high profile rides for reasons that were obviously not performance. Keep playing stupid, though. You obviously enjoy being a tool.

This pretty much sums up everyone's opinion on the subject.

You're right. They're angels. Those people at NASCAR and M&M's are just big meanies trying to bring Kyle Busch down.
