Jack doesn't have a primary sponsor for the 17.

He's got enough to worry about.

This is the same guy that cried like a spoiled kid over any Ford guys pushing another manufacturer at the plate races. He has too much pride to let Kurt move to RPM unless it is purely sponsor driven. As it is, the Dinger is fine with Best Buy.

Best Buy isn't signed for next year, getting Kurt is an attempt by RPM to get them to re-sign.

I don't know. I recall Ambrose and Dinger being pretty fast towards the end of the year.

I'm not really sure how true this information is but I've seen rumors that Best Buy is looking at sponsoring either the #15, #17, or #20 car next year. Also claimed that they offered 18 races for the #17 but RFR wants a minimum of 28 races.

That's the problem with Roush. He's lost several sponsors because of this exact thing.

Sounds like Kenseth is the leading candidate to land the Best Buy sponsorship as long as nothing falls through.

Best Buy has signed with RFR, 9 races on the #17 and 2 on the #99. Will serve as an associate sponsor on both cars the rest of the year.

At some point in the future, Carl Edwards will have a piece of every sponsor in NASCAR. His name above the window will be replaced with "Captain Commercial".
