If Cignetti can reproduce what Leopold has done at Kansas, he’ll be a rock star in Bloomington. The Big 10 is tougher competition but IU has more money than KU. His past experience in P5 will help him; he knows what it will take to get IU off the mat.

Is it just me or has the "carousel" been a bit muted this year.

What, maybe 5-6 P5 openings and a most of those were known for months.

Backfill Duke and things will be pretty much done.

Yup. However, I think next year it is likely there could be 3-4 SEC job openings with Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, Vandy having coaches in make or break years.

Guy is 62 years old.... He'll be at IU for 4 years max....

This a stop gap hire for Indiana until they find a younger, proven coach. They'll always be a "basketball school",but this is good enough for the time being. Bring a solid coach to a school known for hoops. Similar to Mack Brown at UNC,but he was brought back late in his career.

I think there will be a surprise departure or 2 before it’s all said and done.

Can't say that I disagree with you.

I see Michigan having to make a move, but they will most likely just put an interim tag on Moore or whatever and try to get through 2024.

Don't see anyone else getting canned at this point, so that leaves retirements and moves to NFL.

Riley is selling low right now and we already accounted on Harbaugh. Don't see anyone else being seriously discussed being moved up?

Retirements? I mean. I guess Saban could finally exit, but I just don't see it after this year.

Should he retire, then yeah you're gonna see quote a bit of movement at the top I would think.

I think there will be a surprise college hire to the NFL, because these NFL owners never learn. (Not referring to Harbaugh. He’s a proven NFL coach and he’s surely gone. No surprise there, as you said)

We were due for a muted year given that the 21/22 carousel was:

Southern Cal
Oklahoma
Florida
LSU
Miami
Notre Dame
Washington
Oregon
Virginia Tech

...and Michigan was almost on that list.

When you get big time jobs like Florida hiring is usually when you see more dominoes fall. The carousel last year or year before (I forget which) was insane.
