Gonna be tough to win all 4, but I think that's what it will take to get a 1 seed.

3-1 will just solidify the top 2 seed, I'm afraid. Have Az with soft schedule and Marquette lurking.

Auburn short handed against vols at home and South Carolina are the must wins. Then hope can split one of Kentucky and Alabama. I know metrics says Auburn > Kentucky but the cats are going to be firing on all cylinders and confident when they come to TBA.

I'd take that right now. I'll be content with 2-2. Folks thinking we'll get a 1 seed are dreaming. Ain't no way they give the rednecks a 1 seed if there's a blue blood they can slide in thru the back door available. If Zona or UNC is anywhere close, you know how it's gonna go.

What evidence is there to suggest that UK will be firing on all cylinders? Not saying it’s not possible, just curious, they lost to a bad LSU team, looked great against Alabama sure, and then needed a miracle to beat Mississippi State. If they rattle off their next 3 in convincing fashion then sure, but to this point I’m just not sure what has been seen to suggest that.

Alabama was a 1 seed just last year, or do you not consider them rednecks?

A bad offensive team scored 89 points on Kentucky.

Just as the game in Lexington, Vols will score 100 points again... Book it.

Not sure if you're being disingenuous here. You aren't suggesting that the media views bama and UT in the same light are you? Bama is a blue blood, if not THE blue blood, of college football. IMO, the glow of that spotlight spills over into all their sports. We have no such luxury. Bama is "southern royalty". UT is "red neck trailer trash" in their eyes. We'll never get the nod. They'll never crack the door for us. We either kick it down or it stays closed. You won't see that with bama. And soon, it's going to be that way for UGA. The next time UT gets the nod over the likes of UNC or Zona in hoops will be the first time I can recall seeing it in my 7 decades on this earth.

Hey, I was born and raised in the hills of E. TN. My neck is as red as they come. Proud of it. Country boy thru and thru. Not a thing wrong with it. Necks are salt of the earth IMO. Just pointing out that the media and committees won't see us in the same way. We want something? Gotta take it. We'll never get the benefit of the doubt. If we do manage to go at least 3-1 to finish....and that's not something I expect from this team...and they do give us that 1 spot, I'll come back and eat my words. At my age, seeing is believing. Until then, I'm cupped up.

They've been erratic with big wins followed by disappointing loses. Certainly I could be wrong and they crap the bed in TBA. But a young team that pulls huge road miracle victory and then about to crush vandy/Arkansas is going to have a lot of confidence. Maybe vols experience, talent, and home crowd is too much for cats. But I suspect cats will give them all they can handle.

It’s weird because I don’t feel like going back a year plus he was that way, I really always thought he was a solid poster that was pretty level headed, not sure what changed.

I don't see any way they could shaft us under those circumstances. With our strength of schedule vs Zona and/or UNC, they'd have no choice....assuming they care about credibility. I'm hoping they find themselves in exactly that position.
