2024 Official Seed List Watch Party Thread

Realistically Purdue and Connecticut have nearly locked up a 1 seed in all likelihood, meaning UNC & Houston are the most catchable targets on the 1 line. We currently sit at about a 90%+ chance at a 3 seed or better so you can almost forget about the 4 seed line (but I’ll wait another game or two to do that hopefully), so really:

Houston
North Carolina
——————————
Arizona
TENNESSEE
Kansas
Marquette
——————————
Wisconsin
Alabama
Baylor
Iowa State

Are the main ones to watch right now.

Think Texas is our best chance to pick one up tonight.
Call me crazy but I like the spot for Clemson. Tough to pull out a win at UNC but it’s a decent buy-low spot. UNC coming off of rivalry game win and Clemson coming off a home loss. UNC already beat Clemson on their home floor by double digits so I could see UNC starting slow in this one and Clemson might be able to hang around. Just comes down to how long can they hang around and finish unlike the Duke game.

I’m just not buying Clemson. They had a good non-conference showing but have collapsed in a bad ACC. Not even sure they are going to make the tournament at this point. I’ll be rooting for them tonight though.

And PJ Hall just keeps playing for underachieving teams when he could be here starting at the PF spot.

Imagine Zeigler, Vescovi, Knecht, Hall, and Aidoo as our starting 5? 😳

Yeah, I truly don’t understand why he never transferred. I guess he just loves Clemson, but you’d think he would have wanted to leverage the portal and have a chance to play for a title contender before graduating.

I guess kudos to him for his level of commitment.

Seeing quite a few bracketology projections with Indiana State as the 10-seed paired with us.

Uh, yeah, no thanks. That is the exact type of offense-oriented Cinderella team that upsets us. I’d like to avoid them.

Are we a 7 seed in that scenario? I assume you mean potential second round matchup

Larry Bird would be cheering his ass off for the Sycamores.

Who knows how it ends up but regardless, good call

Clemson knocks off North Carolina at home. That’s big for us if we can go 2-0 this week to take advantage of it. Should be able to jump them to a 1 seed (or at least close to it)
Yup. Updated Bracketmatrix had us as the top 2 (basically tied with Arizona) and them as the bottom 1 before this loss so lots of opportunity

Well… after this prediction I think I need to place a few bets on these later games.

That rec specs dude is legit. I randomly watched a half of a late night indiana state game (against drake maybe?). He was killing them. Seems like a good candidate for a P5 transfer next year.
Robbie Avilla. He will be at a high major next year I predict.

Good grief dude, you called both K State and Clemson. You must be one of them there sidekicks, or cyclists or whatever they’re called.
