2024 Official Seed List Watch Party Thread

Marquette @ Butler
UNC @ Syracuse
Iowa State @ Cincinnati
Michigan
@ Illinois
Oklahoma @ Baylor
Three big opportunities tonight there at the top. On bracketmatrix UNC is the team directly above us and Marquette directly below, and were it updated after last nights Kansas result Iowa State would be directly beneath Marquette, two beneath us. Would love 1 or 2 of those to go our way

I agree and going 2-0 this week is imperative in terms of holding our position

Now we need Kentucky to do us a solid on Saturday and win. Yes, I know we hate Kentucky. No, I will not cheer for Auburn in that game.
Absolutely, and from looking at Alabamas schedule the rest of the way they don’t have a cakewalk either. Lots of games they could trip up at. Texas A&M, Florida, @kentucky, @Ole Miss, Tennessee, @Florida, Arkansas

Iowa State at Houston is a conundrum. Iowa State probably passes us with a win down there. But TN has a chance to catch Houston.

Iowa State has a favorable schedule down the stretch.

I don’t want to tempt fate. I think catching Houston will be too hard. Don’t wait Iowa State to be able to pass us.

just keep playing well and the seeding will work out. They have an opportunity, coming up, to string together 4 more wins in a row. They do that and they’ll be in prime position for a 1 seed going into the Alabama, USCjr, and home against Kentucky games. 22-6 going into that stretch of games would be incredible. 22-6(12-3) would probably have us in first place or at least tied for first place. Places a lot of importance on those last 3 games. I think at worst we finish 23-8(13-5) which is still pretty darn good. I just have a feeling we split those away games against South Carolina and Bama, but would 24-7(14-4) be good enough to win the SEC regular season? I guess we will wait and see.
