2024 Republican candidates beside Trump

As if being better than Biden is an acceptable baseline. Trump was horrible on policy. We got fake economic growth that we paid for with massive debt growth, nothing at the border got fixed, he escalated multiple trade wars and won 0 of them, etc.
They don’t care one way or the other what you or anyone else does on their own time at their house

Trump's flamboyant nature would still take the oxygen out of any Republican Primary field, just as it did in 2016. His blunt, confrontational style hasn't lost its appeal to the Republican base. Neither has his anti-woke, identity politics messaging. I doubt he would even get much of a challenge for the Republican nomination if he does decide to run.

I see Ron DeSantis mentioned a lot. He is like a cultivated and purified version of Trump. I'm not so sure that packaging works as well with the base.

This is where you lose everyone and show your bias: “his blunt style will appeal to the Republican base.”

Just say some people.

The Democrats have tons of blunt people like AOC. Pelosi brought a circus style clown gavel into congress the day she signed Obamacare.

Also, neither the Republican Party or Democrat party has a base anymore. Both have completely lost who they once were and are now just power hungry and will do or say anything to keep power.

The rampant homophobia here, I'm done. I'm tired of it.

There's an old saying that when everybody else is wrong, look closer to home. For many years we've been inundated with "sexual harassment" - some real and some just unthinking simple bad manners. Most of the world probably doesn't really care about other sexual orientations as long as they aren't on display - not too much to ask if you believe everyone else should hide their "inappropriate" thoughts and words. Most of us with any sense of decency and propriety likely have no problem with that - after all why choose to offend or make someone else uncomfortable for no good reason. However, something about your generation wants to put your new visions of the world out in everybody's face and force them to accept, and you get offended when the rest of us don't see it your way. Societal change is generally evolutionary; you want to make it revolutionary, and it doesn't work.

You want another part of the answer. Homosexual marriage is a mockery of a centuries old way of life that's far more than simple custom or habit - it has to do with the very continuation of the species. Secondly, if you accept (and you have acknowledged that some people have to accept but don't necessarily want to be what they are), then the very thought of two men or two women in a union bringing up children is a perversion because it normalizes an abnormal relationship to what may have been very normal children. You may consider that part of an evolutionary process; I for one don't. This isn't about homophobia. This is about people without good sense.

Trump was a proto-fascist that would burn this Republic to the ground for his ego. And there are a good portion of conservatives that would happily watch him do it.

Lol please. You have unwavering support for a moron who went on camera and said roads and bridges are racist. Trump's policies are without a doubt better than any dim's and that's all that matters.

Doesn't matter. If he runs, no one besides a self loathing fool would run against him fornthr nomination. Absolutely political suicide.

I'm glad there is at least one example of this, but you are fooling yourself if you think conservatives give a **** about LGBTQ folks. They'll be the first under the bus.

Most conservatives only care about their own and believe that the other person is both able and competent enough to take care of themselves and should be completely left alone to do whatever they want as long as it does not directly impact them negatively.

Outside of very rare cases, such as permanent disability, anyone not able to make enough to support themselves in this country is just lazy or unwilling to do what it takes to better their standing.

As far as sexuality I don’t think anybody on this site cares what anyone else does in the bedroom. We just want the right to say we disagree and be left alone when we do.

My top pick would be Mitch Daniels but he won't run. Haley or Scott would be interesting. Praying Trump won't run

Most likely I'll be voting Spike Cohen assuming he wins the L nomination.

Like Spike. Tulsi would be a good Libertarian. I love some of the Libertarian views and loath some of their other views.

Ah, the old “Trump is a fascist” idiocy again 🙄
Of course, the FIRST thing any aspiring fascist would do is imprison his or her political opponents. Please list for me again the exact names of Democrat politicians or journalists (but I repeat myself) jailed by Donald Trump or his Administration. I am sure I will be waiting till Hell freezes over to see a single name.
Now if you want to see ACTUAL fascism, maybe look at what is being done to James O’Keefe and Project Veritas this week. Classic Gestapo methodology to silence opposition journalists who offend the man in charge.

Who do you like to run & win?

Gov.DeSantis from Florida is my choice
Navy Seal & the total package

Winning Florida vote would be huge

I say less Trump cause we know him well

Supporting DeSantis if he runs. Probably will not support Trump unless it is in the general election because I cannot see the Democrats nominating anyone with some damn sense.

The Democrats have no one with any sense TO NOMINATE 😂😂😂. Manchin, Sienna can’t win the nomination. All that remain are the crazies. Remember that Sleepy Joe as their actual idea of a “moderate” for crying out loud
