The amount of time his shot takes to get off has worried me, as well as the fact he still isn’t a great creator for others as far as I can tell, but I made too much of a fool of myself last offseason by poo-pooing the hype around Knecht so I’ve stayed out of the conversation for the most partBum is maybe harsh, but maybe not the instant fix-a-program guy that he's being touted to be by some Tennessee and Kentucky fans.
Rumor is they played 3 games to 11 points. Lanier skunked him all 3 games. Ended the first game with Dirk’s signature fadeaway, ended the second game with Kobe’s turnaround jumper, and ended the third game with the Air Jordan from the free throw line.Have Chaz and Jahmai played 1-on-1 yet? If so, how many points he got on Shack?
Holding one open or 12/13 is about 82%. 82% of 85 would be 78 on the football team. I know it’s ****ing maffs but if I stop to cypher, I’m sharing. You should definitely try and use all 13 scholarships whether they stick or not. Imagine Heupel saying "nah I'm good with only having 64 scholarship guys (the equivalent in football terms). The other ones would cost money and might leave." Doesn't make much sense.
Not a surprise that agents would push for best possible payday, but he and his family will most likely take the OVERALL best deal for them. How important is accessibility and cost of attending? Do they factor in the post college advantages for going to an in state school? Got a lot of math to deal with for TOTAL tax impact on each location. Same for out of pocket expenses. Not many variables for the agents, plenty for the family. The way I’ve always felt has been that Laniers agents are keep pushing for the best deal for Lanier AND THE COMMISSIONS . Which basically means the higher the money/the better deal the better for BOTH parties involved.
If no agent was involved I think TN was a lock.
The fact that Lanier is allowing his agents to float for the best deal means that TN has to pony up or it’s not happening and TN.
For the people who believe he is coming to TN, are you still believing that? Or you think he’s going elsewhere?
I’m kinda of tired of his name. Let’s talk about others because my gut feels off.
I think Lanier, his family and his agent have been smart. I don’t think he necessarily just takes the highest bid, if other offers are competitive. The fact he’s on campus makes me believe that the numbers being floated around online about UK and BYU offering these huge NIL deals were greatly exaggerated. I believe it was said that if it turned into a huge bidding war Barnes wouldn’t participate, so the fact he’s on campus tells me we feel our offer is near or as good as any other. The way I’ve always felt has been that Laniers agents are keep pushing for the best deal for Lanier AND THE COMMISSIONS .
