Throw in the back and forth chatter on the court, then it reminds me of modern day NBA. Nothing wrong with trash talking. No looks,,pocket passes, one-hand passes,,,hook-passes,,Drop-passes....I have been waiting for this for what seems all my life....NO, not for CC, but for permission for girls/women to play the game boys have been playing for years.
What CC is doing is not new,,,permission to do so at will,,IS!
This is one thing that has hampered the growth of the womens game,,,no eletrifying passes, out of range gunning, etc. I watched in agony as any time a female didn't make a two-hand pass they got benched, and I got mad!
I do hope no one puts a cap on her game.
Michael Jordan raised the game above the rim
Pistol Pete and Magic opened the door to theatrical passing
Now its in CC's hands to lead women's BB into the next phase
Isn’t this how disinformation ploys work to generate a raise from the current organization? I know I’ve seen this work before… /jsNatalie Nakase to GSV was fairly well predicted, but Steph White leaving Connecticut is pretty surprising! I wonder which team is willing to throw her a bag, and I wonder what'll happen with Bonner and Thomas.
WTF? W pgs been making these passes since forever, from Tina Penichero straight thru to Chelsea Grey. And never needed "permission". This is the CC overhype that drives me crazy. She did not invent any of this. Passing and ball movement has been the hallmark of the W from day 1. It's lack of above the rim play they get criticized for.No looks,,pocket passes, one-hand passes,,,hook-passes,,Drop-passes....I have been waiting for this for what seems all my life....NO, not for CC, but for permission for girls/women to play the game boys have been playing for years.

As a Liberty fan who went to a lot of games during the Katie Smith years...do not recommend. She was in a tough spot, though, coaching at the tiny Westchester County Center. One interesting name mentioned is Katie Smith, an assistant to Cheryl Reeve. Had a brief stint as head coach of the Liberty a few years ago.

Yup. As a Liberty fan I was pulling hard for Connecticut to beat them (though part of that was also because they don't have a championship)It looks like the Liberty are going to be 0-6 in the Finals. Losing game 1 (or letting it slip away) in a 5 game series really puts a team behind the 8-ball.
Plus, the Lynx took 3 of 4 against Liberty in the regular season. They just seem to have the Liberty's number.
I can't get over this game. 99% of me is devastated as a Liberty fan, but the other 1% that's a fan of sports in general is in awe of that performance from Phee down the stretch. Wish it could have happened against any other team
