Mercedes made some recent social media comments that would indicate she was not happy with the coaching situation either.

I think Mercedes is one as well, she said a few things online the last few weeks that made me think something was going on.

Damn! Rickea just can't have nice things. And Curt Miller gets the last laugh.

But he's the only one laughing. Poor Paige has to play (or attempt to play) alongside freaking Arike. And the league (and Sparks) miss out on CPR, which would have been so dynamic for the league.

Now the Sparks get KiKi, which is ok, but she plays the only position they're already good at. I guess they can take Olivia Miles if she has a good year but it barely matters now. This is actually a very thin draft. Getting Paige was all that mattered for the Sparks.

Rckea looked great though.

No, Dallas needs a PG and Curt Miller, Dallas' new GM, would not do the Sparks a solid if his life depended on it.

It has been widely speculated that Dallas is last place Paige wants to go. Few rookie pgs would want that.

Shhhhhheeeeit. Ballhog extraordinaire Arike Ogunbowale ain't gonna like having Bueckers around! That woman is only happy if she is taking most of the shots and scoring most of the points.

See above. Poor Paige. This only happened bc freaking Chicago traded their pick to Dallas, giving them double odds.

Can't overemphasize what a blow this is for the Sparks. After muddling through that historically horrible season, they come up empty.

KiKi will probably be a nice player, just not at all what they need.

Sparks really need a guard I think they take Olivia Miles. I like her game better anyway. Just an absolute floor general. Great passer and has really improved her shot.

They could, but again, their front court is set. It will be hard for a rookie to get playing time over Rickea, Cam, Hamby, and Azuri.

Again, this year, only #! mattered for the Sparks. The draft is thin beyond Paige esp for immediate impact guards which is what they desperately need. Even more, they needed the publicity and excitement of CPR and the #1 pick. Folks are peek through their hands covering their eyes looking forward to Paige and Arike.

Depending on if Julie Allamade, the pg fm Belgium is playing for them this year, they may take Miles or another guard. But anyone beyond Paige will be a depth piece for them.

Lol about Curt. You're right. I suspect he'd rather stand, spread-eagle, while five guys each took a turn running up and kicking him square in his man parts than do L.A. any favors.

And I don't blame PB if she did not want to go there. It has always been my least favorite franchise. yuck.

HaHa!! The joke may be on Miller then. It appears that Paige has one more year of eligibility after this one. If she does not like her draft options and with NIL $, why not stay in WCBB. Heck, she could even transfer to Tennessee just to get a difference experience.

I'm guessing she's ready to move on. Seems like she's been in college as long as Zaay Green.

But if she did stay for another year there's no guarantee the same thing wouldn't happen next year. Can you imagine? 🤣

Yes, she didn't read the fine print on her deal with the basketball Gods (who are a conniving bunch of tricksters). She stopped reading after the part that said "you will receive insane levels of beauty and athletic talent" but the fine print also stated, "and live the entirety of your life in basketball purgatory, BWAAHAHAH!!!
