Really hope A&M can get upset

Kentucky beating Alabama and Missouri beating Florida is possible. Kentucky will have tons of fans as usual. I actually expect them to beat Alabama after two tough ones vs them.

Seeds:
1) Auburn (Miss, Ark, or USC)
2) Florida (Mizz, Miss St, or LSU)
3) Bama (KY, GA, or OK)
4) Tennessee (Tx A&M, Vandy, or Texas)

5) Texas A&M (12 v 13 winner)(VU v Tx)
6) Kentucky (11 v 14 winner)(GA v OK)
7) Missouri (10 v 15 winner)(Miss St v LSU)
8) Ole Miss (9 v 16 winner)(Ark v USC)

9) Arkansas
10) Miss State
11) Georgia
12) VandyLSU)
13) Texas (6-12)
14) Oklahoma (6-12)
Texas and Oklahoma split.
Texas beat Texas A&M.
15) LSU
16) USCjr

For 3 or 4 teams with the same record the first tie breaker is records versus the teams with that same record.

^ In layman's terms it looks like we going to get Vanderbilt, Texas, or Texas A&M in our first game.

That’s what it looks like to me. Texas is a game ahead of Oklahoma and won the earlier H2H game. Then Texas has beaten Texas A&M while OK lost to A&M. So I don’t think that the current OK at Texas game matters. Texas has the 13th seed and Oklahoma the 14th.

Seeds:
1) Auburn
2) Florida
3) Bama
4) Tennessee

5) Texas A&M
6) Kentucky
7) Missouri
8) Ole Miss

9) Arkansas
10) Miss State
11) Georgia
12) Vandy
13) Texas (6-11)
14) Oklahoma (5-12)
Texas beat Oklahoma.
Texas beat Texas A&M.
15) LSU
16) USCjr

For the vols specifically, I think not getting UK, UF, or bama in our side of the bracket is better proposition. TAM and then possibly Auburn although tough would rather

I like our half of the bracket. If Barn is going to beat us, I’d just as well get it over with on Saturday.

If the chalk advances, I think UK beats Bama and Florida beats Missouri. Both revenge games. Neither may happen due to early round upsets.

Barn on Saturday and Florida/Bama winner for the championship. Book it.
CBM should get suspended from this tournament by Snakey after his cheap shot today, especially with his history. I know Bruce won't suspend him. If Jennifer gets suspended for what he did then CBM shouldnt play in that tournament.

Texas A&M opens with the Vandy-Texas winner. They lost at Texas by 1 and Vandy won at College Station by 2.

A&M destroyed Texas 80-60 on 1/4/25 in their first conference game.

I think since the game is in Nashville I’d rather not face Vandy. Rodney Terry has lost 7 of the last 9 and has only won 6x in the SEC this year. Hook ‘em Horns!

Barn at USCjr only won 66-63.

Cal and Arky lost at Barn 67-60.

Barn lost to Florida at Barn by 9, lost at AM by 11, and Bama beat them Saturday at Barn 93-91 in OT.

Duke beat Bruce 84-78 in Cameron.

Other than Oklahoma and Ole Miss, Barn didn’t exactly destroy SEC opponents. The 94-78 win at Rupp on 3/1 is their most impressive game IMO.

OOC they also beat Houston 74-69 in Houston at a “neutral” site on November 9th.

1/25/2025: Barn 53, TN 51 - Broome had 16 points and 13 boards.

I'm not going to wager but you may want to check what Palm and Lunardi are saying, it's not favorable for the Vols
I heard Lunardi say on the air last night Florida, Bama, and Tennessee are 4, 5, 6, in whatever order you want to put them. Palm is never accurate, and neither of those guys are on the selection committee.

One correction - they lost to Florida at home.
