2025 Seed Watch Party Thread

I guess the committee this year HAS to take into account the full SEC tournament.

Because if for instance, whoever wins it doesn’t get the 1 seed, it’d be a PR nightmare for the committee.

The Louisville win last night guaranteed we will have to face possibly Gonzaga or Kansas in the 2nd round. We better somehow figue out Hunter Dickinson
You’ve become the Andy Kauffman of the basketball forum. It’s either the saddest honest portrayal of a doomed fan, or the most brilliant piece of performance digital troll art of all time.

Lunardi has changed his tune (again). “Whoever advances the farthest” gets the final 1-seed was fiction. Turns out he meant to add “whoever advances the farthest between Florida and Alabama”. So us winning today would mean basically nothing.

Two takes here, either don’t buy any of this as fact, such as “Indiana has been re-evaluated” like they weren’t being evaluated before today. OR, that was a slip of the tongue (pen) and he’s repeating something a committee member told him.

I don’t care what that stupid Lunardi says, we win tomorrow we deserve the 1
I don't for a second believe they'll actually give it to us based on how they've treated conference tourney games in the past. But IF we win tomorrow, that would give us a 2-1 record against FL OR a 2-0 record against Bama. How can the committee tell TN with a straight face that the team you beat twice is getting the 1 over you?

If Florida wins vs Alabama I can see the argument that they get the last #1 seed. If Bama wins and then we beat Bama, we will have the same conference record, better overall record and better KenPom than Bama. Plus a 2-0 record heads up. What am I missing? You could easily flip the last 1 seed and first 2 seed if you are the committee.
