Would anybody like to take a guess at the last ten win regular season under Fulmer's watch? Anybody?

2003.

Actually 2007 you jack wagon. Lol I just love that line. No hate intended. Went 10-4 won the Outback bowl

If Dooley doesn't show progress this season, I'm all for it. But, I don't think thats the case, I think this next year will bring back the stars we had/had injured along with better depth at certain positions. But if they do go this route, make sure Chief is willing to return, if not, no thanks.

If Big John would come back with Big Phil, then it just all depends on who the OC would be.
Might not be a bad idea!
:)
only a little saracsm intended

A friend of mine in ADs office has indicated that a group of board of trustees and some big donors are lobbying for one more shot at Fulmer group..they want Fulmer, Chavis along with some big shot OC..(if not Cutcliffe)..Hart is said to be against this idea..he isn't willing to take any such back step and also is willing to give Dooley few more years..interestingly Hart likes both our OC and DC...It will be interesting to see how much longer he can handle that pressure from so called "influencial" group...!!!

Bull **** :lolabove:

Hell just paint some clothes on Neyland's statue and put him on the sidelines as head coach....

I support Phillip 100%. I think what he did for this program over the years was influential in the expectations us fans have for Vol football. I hate seeing ignorant people drag his name in the mud on this board and consider those people to be idiots. Even though his last few years were rough, I focus on his accomplishments rather than his final years.

However, if Tennessee was to let another coach go, I really wouldn't want to see him back in the saddle. The expectations would be enourmous and if he didn't live up to them, it would be yet another coaching change in 2 years. No matter how much I like Fulmer, I'd hate to see that happen to my Vols.

But, who knows, maybe the firing lit a fire under his rear. I would love to see him come back 90's style and take this team to the top again. But taking a risk like that seems a bit too much.

Wouldn't happen. Phillip inherited a loaded team in 1992, chock block full of future NFL players and quality depth. He has never faced a situation like this. With all due respect, he never had to rebuild anything and likely wouldn't know what to do

Yeah, GREAT season. Got hammered by 7-5 Cal, 45-31, 8-5 Florida, 59-20 and 6-6 Alabama, 41-17.

Stats are meaningless without detail

This is nonsense. No way Fulmer and co. ever come back.

Hart has 2 options.

1. Fire Dooley and hire a PROVEN Head Coach who will lead our program for years to come.

2. Give the Dooley experiment 1 more year to see if it actually works.

Wrong. Neither of your scenarios is an option this year

You have stated one thing correctly though. Phillip Fulmer is never coming back to coach. It's never been discussed by anyone within the AD or BOT either

So you would rather us not have that 10 win season? I mean even though we lost to our biggest rivals did he still not do what he was supposed to that year. Beat the teams we should have? And you see the east coast teams playing out west issues all the time. You see in NCAAF, NFL and other sports.

I answered your question of when we last won 10 but yet you wanna act like we should disregard that year.

hart sucks, no better than hammy.

I love this board. Why not bring Majors as HC, Fulmer as OC, Chavis DC? And let Gruden, Lovie Smith etc fill out the rest of the assistant staf? Hell yeah!!

As much as I don't want that scenario to happen, some of the goofballs on this board who have no sense of history would do well to remember that when Fulmer, Chavis and Cutcliff were all together from 95-98 we went like 44-4 with 2 SEC championships and one NC . I'd like to see another trio of coaches do that well

Hart carries one of these around with the plans for "Fulmertration"

I'm guessing we are going to need a briefcase a little bigger for fulmertration... Plus, the big boy loves to ride in style!

Peyton. Manning.

Let's get the band back together! I dont know what Hart and Company will do, but if you did bring 'em back at least you wouldnt hear about D.Rogers cussin out the WR coach. Could you imagine Tyler Bray telling Cutcliffe he didnt feel like doing a workout or didnt want to run Cutcliffe's plays? Whoaaa you wouldnt need a Fulmertration nuclear suitcase to see a nuclear explosion over there on Upper Hudson Field!
