What are you talking about? If UT fired Bruce Pearl right now I couldn't care less. Basketball is a three month fill in until spring practice.

But if UT fired Bruce Pearl I would expect a reasonable replacement. Using Larry Brown as some temporary replacement option sounds like a really bad idea. UT should be in a position to go out and get a real replacement.

Tressel and Stoops are great coaches. But they are big game flops.

Saban has worked majic at UAT. He has made life difficult for new coaches by shortening the rebuild expectation to months rather than years.

I really get annoyed when people say this. If that's what you think, then why are you spending so much time on the basketball forum?.

I guess you deserve an answer to the question asked. I am a UT fan. I enjoy basketball. I go to a few UT games a season - I'll be at Ole Miss coming up in fact.

But given a choice, basketball is the third best spectator sport behind football and baseball (leaving NASCAR out of it).
