Abortions Rights Win (Again)

I think the “pro-life“ monikers is disingenuous for most people who use it to describe themselves since most “pro-lifers” overwhelmingly support capital punishment.

I know it’s not the same subject but they are also overwhelmingly against alternative treatments for people suffering from debilitating/ painful terminal illnesses. Pro lifers are some of the least compassionate people on Gods Earth.

Then states that want their own laws can ignore a federal law like some states do with enforcing drug laws.

How would they order medical supplies if they were ignoring a federal law. Also any funds used to run the clinics or pay staff would have to be kept in cash or would be subject to seizure by federal goons.

Like the feds are doing with dispensaries?

Why can’t you answer the question? So let’s say the vote is for a woman can abort for any reason at anytime during the pregnancy. And there were enough votes to pass it but there were many against it. Does they mean it’s right?
It doesn't matter if I believe it to be right or wrong, it's the will of the people. But personally I am fine with abortions for any reason up until 12 weeks, and after that only for medical reasons. But that's just my person opinion.

Let. The. Voters. Decide.
While personally wishing there would never be another abortion wanted or needed, because of our system of government, I agree. At the state level.

The problem is the extremists on both sides of this do not understand this sentiment. If Oklahoma bans even the thought of abortion and California offers first class plane rides and a weekend at at Disney World with free abortions, I am okay with that. It is our federal system.

i no more want to force on California values we hold dear in Tennessee than I want California to do that to us.

This is a price I believe we must pay for our system that balances the power between a central government and its constituent states.

I’m pro-choice , but are you about to say if you’re not a biological female you can’t have an opinion on abortion?
It's just the irony that the majority of these politicians making these decisions are old white males. I presented the "16 YO getting vasectomies mandate" earlier (which was a joke but some people actually said was a good idea) Imagine if that decision was made by a overwhelmingly large majority of females. Y'all boys couldn't be exercising your 2a fast enough....

But those old white males were voted in to office. The majority of the populace, obviously slim, are women. So that argument rings hollow.

Pols by and large are “old white males”. My question for her still stands.

I don’t care who makes the decision, but having to be licensed to procreate sounds like a fine idea.

For sure. I'm 34 and I've never been solicited in any of these dumb polls. That's why when I see a headline "Trump is ahead in x poll 12 months before the election" I take it with salt. It doesn't represent the majority.
If we’ve learned nothing else from every election since Bush/ Gore it’s that the polls are never accurate

Outside of Bush's Patriot Act, I thought he did a decent job as POTUS. I can't get past that act with him though for some reason. Every POTUS since him has been way, way down as far as decent goes imo. We seem to get worse with each election too.

“Pols” = Politicians

Not “polls”

Politicians (Pols) are old white males by and large.
