Abortions Rights Win (Again)

I mean that it's personal and if you've never had to make that decision you can't know how truly weighty it is.

Also, when you legislate abortion you are also legislating healthcare. It's not just a slogan, it's a fact. When doctors cannot perform medically needed abortions they don't practice in that state. They go somewhere else where they can actually treat patients without fear of being criminally charged. There are five women suing Texas because they almost died because their doctor couldn't give them the medical care they needed. Now there are fewer practicing gynecologists in your state which affects all pregnant women. And let's say you are unlucky enough to be pregnant and live in a state where the laws are becoming increasingly draconian and they criminalize abortions. You miscarry (which happens more often that many people realize) but you're afraid to seek medical care because they'll charge you with murder because the doctors are required to report you.

This is really happening in this country in 2023 and it is putting women's lives at risk.

Women want and need authority over their own bodies. Full stop. Your opinion, my opinion or the law should not inhibit her rights.

And it scares the hell out of me to think that my two year old great granddaughter, who I absolutely adore, may come of age without a right that every woman deserves to have. A right that every man has. Autonomy over her own body.
I support bodily autonomy. Female choice is a major front in that battle - and I’m firmly pro-choice.

Do you support bodily autonomy for all?

Happens all the time. They just don't pay it.
Illegal abortions happen(ed) as well. Is the acceptable standard abortion should remain illegal and women can have them illegally? No. That is unacceptable. Likewise, it isn't acceptable to make the choice not to pay support Illegal.

In which case it is a medical decision best left to a doctor, not a lawmaker.
I always thought this song gave a realistic portrayal of what it is like from the silent party.

Nightmare, the persecution
A child's dream of death.
Torment, ill forgotten
A soul that will never rest.
Guidance, it means nothing
In a world of brutal time.
Electric, circus, wild,
Deep in the infants mind.
Silent Scream
Bury the unwanted child.
Beaten and torn
Sacrifice the unborn.
Shattered, adolescent [sings: another child]
Bearer of no name.
Restrained, insane games
Suffer the children condemned.
Scattered, remnants of life,
Murder a time to die.
Pain, sufferaged toyed,
Life's little fragments destroyed.
Silent Scream
Crucify the bastard son.
Beaten and torn
Sanctify lives of scorn.
Life preordained
Humanity maintained.
Extraction termination
Pain's agonizing stain.
Embryonic death,
Embedded in your brain.
Suffocation, strangulation,
Death is ****ing you insane.
Nightmare, the persecution
A child's dream of death.

Torment, ill forgotten
A soul that will never rest.
Innocence withdrawn in fear.
Fires burning can you hear
Cries in the night.

There's not a lot of other topics which are intriguing right now.

Dallas sends me pics of his shaft regularly. It's impressive.

What about the other body…full stop (apparently that makes it more impactful).

When does your great granddaughter have a right to take the life of another human?

It’s not an opinion to state that there’s a second living human involved in this process and that the life of that human needs to be taken into account (something you’re completely ignoring during your rant).

It's just the irony that the majority of these politicians making these decisions are old white males. I presented the "16 YO getting vasectomies mandate" earlier (which was a joke but some people actually said was a good idea) Imagine if that decision was made by an overwhelmingly large majority of females. Y'all boys couldn't be exercising your 2a fast enough....
What’s ironic about it?

The ole autonomy angle again. Never gets old or any less ignorant.

It's crap like this that really gives "pro-choice" advocates a bad name and makes you look like unhinged radicals. The simple fact that it's legal in some states for a minor to get an abortion without parental consent is absurd. There shouldn't be a need for laws making it illegal for an adult to take a minor across state lines for an abortion. There isn't a state in the union where a minor can get a tattoo without parental consent yet states have to pass laws (and have federal judges block them) to keep people from smuggling minors across state lines to get abortions without parental consent.
