My thing is someone pull out the posts from river now that they been baptized, cut them up into 1-2 inch rings, frame em....sell em from the Univ Store. or better yet auction them on ebay weekly for the year.. More money then this fundraiser will likely see.

That’s not really what’s happening here, either way. It’s a fundraiser for the university, and the university’s trying to be cute about it. Could have been thought out just a bit better though.

To be fair, the SEC has had that rule since like 2004 or 2005. Everyone already knew that the fine and that amount of a fine was coming if UT stormed the field if they won the game. The Gameday announcers even mentioned and talked about it during their morning show.

Honestly, if it's truly just a fundraising campaign for the school, I'm even more annoyed by it. I still think it's a bad look for us overall. The new world order of college football now has the fans paying for the players along with us funding everything else. The last thing UT needs right now is donations from fans. They should be sending alumni money instead of trying to collect.

Wow didn't expect this type of post today. People pay attention, they don't need your money for the goal post it's just a fun way to participate in the celebration. Some of yall must be more into the NFL today, you know, the "No Fun League." Cut it out and give $16 to UT. Already over 30% of goal, should have it to 1000% by the end of day.

Some need to chill out about this. It was an amazing game with a funny outcome for the goalposts. Does anyone really think TN needs money to replace them? It’s a fun way to fundraise off of the excitement that’s it. It only looks bad if people take it the wrong way

I donated. You should too. Enjoy this season it’s been a fun ride already

Some of the fan base needs to lighten up. The news sites love to troll our fan base for any type of negative reaction - which is what they are doing with this. And some of you are taking the bait.

UT doesn't need money for goalposts. UT doesn't need money to pay the fine. I'm sure they have that. This is just a creative and hilariously funny way to raise funds to support the University.

Kinda why I am not even mad about it now. last decade or so has distilled the fanbase to tride and true VFL's.......don't need no fair weather bandwagon Vols. However get ready if we keep playing like this A's will drop from pickups and T's will come back by people who don't even know the names of any of the players again.

I think it’s funny and I’ll donate every time they beat a top five rival team on Neyland Stadium. My wife and I were dating when Tennessee beat Florida in 1998. We were swept down from the student section and on the field with everyone else. Running around like a drunken crazy ass. That was back in the good all days, when you had to duct tape Jim Beam pints to your armpits.

I donated 100 it’s def worth it and Danny is a leader and promoter and if he wants a donation for a new Heupel Contract I’m ready for that too
