Meanwhile, news came out today that Anthony Davis had a 3.7 GPA this semester. That is two number one overall picks in the last 3 years from UK, that both carried a 3.7 or higher (Wall/Davis).

Rocks for Jocks 101 and Rap theory 102 withstanding, that is still somewhat surprising and bucks the perceived trend of "one and dones don't go to class."

Along with chair stacking and the always convenient meat tasting and underwater basket weaving classes. He had a full load.

I bet most casual Kentucky fans had never even heard of UNC until 4 or 5 years ago....

Or Tennessee. :)

Littlecat should just learn that sometimes it's ok to admit you're wrong rather than try to bolster a spurious argument with ridiculous rhetoric.

I don't think you realize how low we'll have to agree the average basketball IQ of the UK fan base must be, for your argument to win.

You're killing their reputation with this argument.

How does it make someone stupid simply because they don't follow basketball as much as some people do? Some people have jobs to do and don't pay attention to much outside of their team. For every middle aged guy who follows college basketball there is a woman, college kid, older person who simply follows the team casually season to season.

It applies to every fanbase. Some fans follow basketball really passionately, and some don't. It's not hard to understand.

He should of actually used his chance at some education and enroll in a Beautician class to learn how to wax eyebrows.

I didn't say they were stupid people.

I was referring to their "Basketball IQ." I used the phrase "Basketball IQ" as a reference to their knowledge of the game. Someone with a high Basketball IQ knows the rules of the game, the names of the teams in all major conferences (with a little bit of latitude allowed for recent realignment), the names of the head coaches at all of the nation's top programs, etc. I could go on further. A high Basketball IQ includes more than that. I'm making the description up as I go, for the purpuse of distinguishing between Basketball IQ and overall intelligence.

It surprises me to essentially be told by a UK fan that the UK fans' average Basketball IQ is low.

Not knowing another coach's name in another league that never plays UK doesn't mean low IQ. And yes, i'm not afraid to make fun of other fans, even if their my own fanbase.

Kentucky played Memphis in the 2006-07 season.

And got blown out, apparently by a coach they had never heard of and immediately forgot about until just two years later.
