Alex Poythress

Agreed. I'd foam out the mouth if we landed Poythress lol. He's an amazing player but is now considered enemy #1! Freakin' Cheater!

I watched this guy play tonight. He went for 46 points, 17 rebounds, 9 blocks and had a couple of assist. He really didnt even seem to be playing hard part of the time and made stuff look simple. It was impressive and he won't be fun to deal with for sure.
I'm sure Alex had fun playing in the third place game.

Did you watch him get shut totally down the day before against Brentwood? He had 9 points. Guess I'm a hater for saying a fact though. Oh yeah, and Brentwood gave those cats their first loss as well.

No I didn't get to see that game. I heard about it though. I was told Brentwood basically beat on him to the point where he wouldn't even post up in the paint.

The guy is a very special player but question remains. How good can he play with a size 20 adidas up his butt?

Im sure if he was at UT you'd worship the man. He's a jacka$$ but he gets the job done. He'll wont be here long anyway.

Cal has stated that he doesn't see him coaching at UK for more than ten years. He stated a desire to enjoy retirement.

if UT hired cal i think i would honestly have to consider either quitting watching basketball, or picking up on a new team. the guy just rubs me the wrong way plain and simple.

id be surprised if he was there that long. i think if he doesnt win a championship in the next 3 years he's gone. JMO

Perhaps not, but what I said came directly from his mouth. So, while he may walk away earlier, he has said himself that 7 more seasons will be enough for him.

I'm not talking about him walking away I'm talking about uk firing him, crazy right? If he wins championship then yea hell leave when he chooses as you said.

There is absolutely ZERO chance he is fired at UK. First of all, he would quit before that could happen. His ego is too big to ne told he can't cut it. Secondly, the fans up here in Kentucky slobber all over every move he makes, every comment, and every #1 recruiting class. As long as he is bringing in thus type talent, they will always be a threat to win it all. He may not win one anytime in the next 7 years, but he will always have them in the hunt, and that will keep him employed.

Call me crazy I've been called worse but u disagree. I lived in ky for a year and one of my good friends father is a uk booster. Words from his mouth were if cal doesn't win in the next few years and continues getting knocked out early with the money were paying him the seat will start getting hot.,you don't have to believe me if you don't want but most uk fans will tell you it's all about championships there, the recruiting classes are nice but will get old if they don't win one. I know it's a little different but tubby was ran out because he couldn't win another one. They all claimed the only reason he won the one was it was pitinos players, and he couldn't do it himself. I promise you and you can choose to believe me or not, with what they pay cal if he doesn't win within the next 3-5 years IMO from what I've been told he will be let go. Now as you said he may split first but it isn't impossible for him to be fired.

I could see some of the retarded fans getting fed up with him if he doesn't win. You see catpause blow up when they get knocked out saying the freshmen 1 and done **** doesn't translate into championships and they're sick of it. Then they are there next year praising the amazing freshmen.

I suppose he could get forced out if he kept getting knocked out in the round of 32 and 16.. but don't see that happening. They'll consistently be in the elite 8 and FF while he's there.

Who are they going to get that's better?

Oh I agree 110% I'm not saying the should get rid of him it's just the way that they are, if they don win a championship it's a disappointing season to them. As you said if he is consistently getting to final fours 3/4 years and an elite 8 to go with it, or something close to that it'll e harder. A you touched on though if they get a few early knockouts, or if he has a real bad year thrown in and they miss the dance for some reason that could be cause. Once again, I'm not saying they should because they probably won't find anyone better, especially at bringing in talent, but that school is crazy like that. As you said, they keep losing early and people have already started with the all the one and done guys don't work.

Nobody is immune to be fired in Kentucky basketball I don't care who you are. If you aren't consistently in he final four and getting a few titles they aren't happy with you.
