Lol at C-USA. I wouldn't mind seeing Memphis in a major conference like the Big East. Not the SEC though.

the head to head is all you have and wont have that much longer. These programs are going in totally opposite directions. I'd much rather have the history in March that Memphis has as opposed to 1 elite 8 in 100+ years, but thats just me.

Hope you have fun in conference too losing to powerhouses like Auburn, S Carolina, and LSU.

If you don't mind, please look back at the scoreboard the past couple of years...I believe we scored 100+ points on you last year? The bottom of the SEC is better than the top of that div III crap Memphis plays in.

It's always fun to talk trash to a program that is obviously down and in the middle of a change, especially when we've owned you. You have absolutely no ground to stand on and seriously can't use the "we are heading in different directions" anymore. Your coach was loaded with talent and did nothing. If he doesn't do something this year with all that talent, those backyard kids are picking their ball up and taking it somewhere else. Not to mention, you play in a conference where 20 wins is a gimmie. Your team will more than likely walk out of Maui with the same record as Tennessee. I'm sure :thumbsup:

While I don't condone my fellow Tiger fan's utter bashing of the UT program, weren't UT fans doing the same thing to Memphis the past few seasons? Turnabout is fair play, isn't it?

Also, I'm not sure that either team can have the same record after Maui and if they do, it won't be telling. We play Michigan in the first roung, you play Duke. If we both lose/win, we play each other.

The best players in UT's history are better than the best in Memphis' history and it's not even close. You don't have anyone that's ever played there that could hold Bernard King's jock. Dale Ellis' too for that matter.

you just had the best 6 year run you'll ever have. In that same time, Memphis won more NCAA Trnt games than UT did, made 3 elite 8s to your 1. Never mind a Nat'l Champ game.

During that same time, the same can be said for you. I've never seen a fan of a team that plays in an absolutely pathetic mid-major conference with a coach that half your fanbase wanted fired until he didn't get blown out in an NCAA tourney game talk so much trash. So, once again, have fun taking on Rice and SMU.

Except one was a fluke, and the other was the most hyped game of the season outside the tourney. Even in Derrick Rose's one and done season, he lost to Tennessee.

I don't think they are the same thing.

We have dominated Memphis for over a decade now. Winning 3 of the last 4 and 9 of the last 12. With the last win being a blowout. That one win versus us in football was a fluke that they hold on to.

I do agree in part to your reasoning but the winning team in both games did not have as successful of a season as the losing team. I guess that was my point. I understand your angle as well though. :hi:

We didn't go to the final four. But we still had a great season, reached #1 thanks to that game...then lost, but still. We also didn't have it vacated.

Just don't duck out on the games like you guys did in the mid 90s and we'll see where we stand in a few years.

Memphis played through Pastner's learning curve/rebuilding for the past 2 years, now UT gets to do the same with Counzo.

They also played through the Calipari years and TN still beat them. Lol, the most dominate period of Memphis b-ball, and still cant beat TN! In the only sport you play! What makes it even more funny is that you all hate that period now because of Cal. Taking your team to KY and winning!
