I am going to miss Trae's little floater though. That was on point whenever he did it. But it is going to be nice to see some consistency at the pg position and to see some hard nosed defense being played. It'll be like having a Goins, but that can shoot. No more pg's scoring 15+ :)

You do know what you are going to get from this guy. Decent defense and an occasional 3. Offensively he can't pass or set anyone up as well as Trae. He is not the answer. He's never done anything. He isn't a true PG either.

It's fine that schools desperate for a PG want him. It's another thing to act as if he is actually good. I suppose he is better than Michael Carter-Williams too right?

He chose the Vols over going to his home state to play and be with his daughter. Give him some credit it takes a man to do that for their kid, not a "thug". He made the best business decision he could to better his family. Get over yourself dude you make yourself look more idiotic every post you post. He's a VFL in my book.

If you don't think barton is good, then you can't possibly think golden is any better for this team. Golden was the single reason we lost several games. I like Golden, but with the team we'll have on the court next year, bartons abilities lend themselves more favorably than goldens

An occasional 3? BOP I'm most likely going to regret this, but I'm going to try and have an actual discussion with you....

You do realize that Barton averaged more 3 point attempts per minute played than McRae right? This is a guy who given 30 minutes will likely attempt 4-5 threes a game.

Since when was Boeheim or Turgeon desperate for a PG? If you're gonna bah at least be factual, making stuff up just makes you look dumb. Boeheim has top 20 recruit Tyler Ennis coming in at PG, and Turgeon has top 50 recruit Roddy Peters coming in at PG...both wanted Barton.

To my knowledge neither has an established or experienced PG.

That's great. But he was never a very good FT shooter and last year he fell to 58 percent. When the argument about his true point guard skills fails you guys bring up 3 point shooting.

So is it more important for you PG to be a better FT or 3P shooter? Not that this guy is a better shooter than Trae Golden by any stretch. He is simply less of a talent offensively and gets better shots.

No it doesn't. Syracuse now has 0 point guard options with any experience. A&M didn't even have a decent PG last year. An incoming freshman does not make you less desperate.

He's not a true PG, most admit that, but neither was trae. I'm willing to bet you he's a 70+% FT shooter next year, wanna bet?
