Post your stats from college...don't worry we'll wait. Why are you hating? You obviously know nothing about basketball. If coaches like Boeheim wanted him then you get him. I trust his evaluating skills over some poster on a message board that is prolly 15.
Our players??? Lol, what? A guy graduates from Memphis and our coach, takes advantage of a rule he bashed and gives him a scholly and he is our player? He has never laced them up for Tennessee, has he ever went to class? No he wanted to go to our rival and now he is our player because he decided we had a good roster and we are desperate for a PG. Not a fan.
You do know what you are going to get from this guy. Decent defense and an occasional 3. Offensively he can't pass or set anyone up as well as Trae. He is not the answer. He's never done anything. He isn't a true PG either.
An occasional 3? BOP I'm most likely going to regret this, but I'm going to try and have an actual discussion with you....
You do realize that Barton averaged more 3 point attempts per minute played than McRae right? This is a guy who given 30 minutes will likely attempt 4-5 threes a game.
It's fine that schools desperate for a PG want him. It's another thing to act as if he is actually good. I suppose he is better than Michael Carter-Williams too right?
Trade allows a bad shooting night to affect his whole game which affected everyone else. Barton wont let that happen. He will set McRae, Stokes and Maymon up first. He gets the players involved BUT if he has the open shot he takes it. Defensively he will shut down his man because he's very aggressive which Trae lacked. He also wont bring the ball up court lazily or allow his emotions to be seen by the world. You'll see.
Since when was Boeheim or Turgeon desperate for a PG? If you're gonna bah at least be factual, making stuff up just makes you look dumb. Boeheim has top 20 recruit Tyler Ennis coming in at PG, and Turgeon has top 50 recruit Roddy Peters coming in at PG...both wanted Barton.
See this is your problem right here. And we keep responding.... I'm not sure who that makes look worse. Nope I'm sure... it makes us look worse. no more :salute:
That's great. But he was never a very good FT shooter and last year he fell to 58 percent. When the argument about his true point guard skills fails you guys bring up 3 point shooting.
