Wasn't Cal 1-10 the year before Jeff Tedford came? Cal fans are surpassing Alabama fans.
Not that bad... At least Bama has some history of national prominence in the last 60 years. Cal was South Carolina bad for a long, long, time. They come back, are decent, and now their fans act like the football team is a big deal.
well i've kind of been through this all before but. . . yes we lost bishop, mebane, and hughes, but beyond those guys our d was very young. Overrall I expect the D to be improved over last season. And lynch is certianly a loss but I expect our run blocking to be MUCH improved (due to the talent and experience returning on the oline). I could be wrong, certainly, but I really do think this years team will be better than last years. And I expect tenn to be worse (at least in the FIRST game of the season).
How? How are you a big deal? In recent years, Cal, more than any other team, has embarassed the Pac-10. In 2004, you got snubbed from a BCS game. I defended you. Against all the SEC homers on this site that have seen maybe 2-3 Pac-10 games in their lives, I defended Cal. I said you guys got a major screwjob, ten times more than Auburn that year. I was infuriated that Texas made it in over you guys. What does Cal do? Cal goes and gets throttled by TEXAS TECH.Oh but we are a big deal. A very big deal. After we beat you, we will be an even bigger deal.
But at the time, when Tedford was hired, you didn't think you'd be HERE (here being used loosely).
Seems these "bammer" fans know what the hell they are talking about. Go ahead, see for yourself.

"Phillip Fulmer has been described as "a genius," "the greatest coach to ever walk the planet," and "one handsome devil" by Vols fans. No one listens to them, though, since no one listens to ignorant hillbillies, and his reputation among those more familiar with college football and not hampered by a lifetime's worth of moonshine is far less flattering. He's known primarily for his success in recruiting the cream of the crop from our nations prisons, insane asylums, and Texas, and for being a big, fat, disgusting blob that bathes in giant tubs of Sam's Choice Imitation Velveeta to maintain his filthy hide's slimy texture."
What do USC fans say about Cal? That's right, Cal is an afterthought to them.
