Anybody else watching The U?

You are almost worth getting a three day suspension from this site. But since I doubt you'd understand it, I'll refrain.

I'll take that to mean I'm making too much sense.

You're right...I'm not worth it...but for whatever reason you can't keep yourself from responding.

I had the pleasure of hanging out with a number of those guys when I lived down there. Most families wish they were that close.

No, I stated that JJ never went 7-5 at Miami.

Tell me what's wrong with that statement.

Nothing about that statement is incorrect. You trying to act like you meant it in a context other than what was obvious to every poster on the site is what's so funny.

I missed where I made any correlation whatsoever to Miami finishing 8-5, and Tennessee's chances of doing the same this season.

The fact is you guys are projecting Miami's late 80s swagger on a Tennessee program that isn't nearly as talented. Get back with me in three years when Kiffin's had a chance to build the program.

No one here thinks it's remotly the same. If they did, who cares? Does it hurt yor feelings? Seriously, why do you come on this board just to argue with Ut fans?

We all know your opinion before you even state it. Five straight, we're not as good as we say, we don't give UF enough credit. Ok.

I mean, this is a thread about a tv show, and you have to come in and pick out something someone says about Ut unrelated to the topic and try to knock us down a peg.

COME ON, MAN!

What's funny was how some of you tried to project Kiffin's "swagger" to the Miami teams of the 80s.

Talk about taking things out of context....

COME ON, MAN!

It's a thread about a great documentary, a documentary that got twisted into a conversation about whether Kiffin can bring the same level of success to UT that Johnson brought to UM.

Fact is, Miami was an independent while Tennessee plays in the SEC. Fact is Tennessee is probably two years away from sniffing a shot at the SEC title, let alone multiple national titles in a four year span.

I love the optimism, but I think a few posters on this thread got a little carried away.

Aren't there some Bearcat fans for you to annoy? You tried to zing someone on an internet message board and got taken to task for being off the mark. Tuck your tail between your legs and get the hell out of here.

Oh really, this I believe is what the original post said:

This is bringing back some memories of growing up in south Florida. Cannot remember a program that just dominated the way Miami did in the 80's.

New decade is on the horizon, would like for 2010'-2020' to be the decade of THE U T except without all the thugs.

I should know, I WROTE IT!

Be that as it may, it's pretty obvious all you are here to do is look for every opportunity to drag down the program. You don't have to point out every post that's overly optomistic and describe why Tennessee isn't as good as they say it is.

The first half was so effing funny. I could not stop chuckling. The raping of the Irish, what happens when Mr. Bad--- calls the team out and the response: call the hotel and then get in direct contact with OU's baddest man at the time, the song made by Mr, 2 Live Crew, the taunting and dancing, the Texas trashing, the Dean Wurmur like president, the on the field guidelines which was basically the Canes show etc, etc.

Too bad they had to leave off our 35-7 beatdown of them at the '85 Sugar Bowl.

The second half turned mellow and reminded me of the tone set by such great behind the story documentaries like VH1's Behind the Music and E!'s True Hollywood Stories.

Obvious editing: The whooping at the '93 Sugar Bowl by the hands of Bama.

This is worth to watch again

There will never be a program that exhibited such outrageously brash behavior ever again because now the NCAA watches things very, very closely.
