Apple event 9/9 1:00pm

I wouldn't bet on it being cheaper but free stuff would be alright. The only thing with retailers is they get even smaller shipments than carriers & Apple Stores.

That's usually the case. I'll probably know the shipping manifests for my district by the weekend, and can get a decent idea of roughly how many will be in stock. I probably won't know pricing until close to launch, though. I'll give it a 50/50 shot that it will be discounted, though.

So say I just bought a new phone and let's say that phone was an LG G3 and let's say I wanted to move to the iPhone 6 plus and let's say I didn't pick a plan that allows you to upgrade whenever you want.

What would I expect to pay for the iPhone 6?

Return it if you're within the policy and just eat the restocking fee

Thanks B-Stizzy...so you think I should get it in a timely fashion from AT&T if I wake up and pre-order tonight? My daughter wants a phone as well...do I need to order that as well?

Preorder starts at 12:01pm tonight online. I would order both at the same time. Online will also do trade ins for Bill credit.

I think if you preorder you'll be fine and received it by the release date without having to stand in lines anywhere.

That 12:01 is west coast time so it will be 3:00 am east coast.

Thanks. On the issue of bill credit...I guess they wouldn't apply the trade in on the phone itself thus bringing down the monthly Next payment, would they?

Also on billing...since we split the bill amongst the 4 of us, is it pretty easy to understand with Mobile Share and Next so I can split it up fair?

Also, another ? So my mother wants to get a new phone, but it will likely be the 5C, which is like .99 right now on AT&T with the 2 year contract. If she did that instead of the Next, how would that affect the Mobile Share?

The bill will show a total amount for each individual line. All you have to do is divide the main rate plan ($100 10gb) by each line. Its fairly simple.

On the Next payment you can actually pay amounts toward the installment. So if you have $250 left on the installment you could pay that much to essentially fulfill you commitment and take the payment off. I'm not too sure if they'll let you apply the credit to that portion but it's worth a shot. I'd wait till after the bill is released then ask them to apply it to the installment.

Thanks...Did you see my Question about my mother wanting a 5c and best way to buy? I assume you work for AT&T...don't happen to work at the cool springs location do you?

Do the 5C on Next. She'll pay about $40 upfront for the tax and have an installment of $18.75 a month.

2yr agreement would be free upfront with a $40 upgrade fee and you would lose the $25 credit.

You'll save 6.25 a month doing it on Next.

I'm still very surprised by these prices. I was kinda hoping to see the first publicly launched $1000 phone.

also, I'm telling all my friends to just get the Plus. I think its better bang for the buck honestly, and phones are going the way of 5-6 inch screens anyway

Thanks...any chance they still have the 5? Honestly, she uses about.1 gb of data a month, so that would suffice just as well.

If the plus is anything like the Note, that thing is huge. I can't imagine anyone without a purse carrying one of those.

Honestly I would find her a 5 online somewhere and buy it outright from someone. You could probably find one for about 200$ and save her from paying any extra on the bill. Cheaper in the long run. If you go that route just make sure it's at&t and use eBay or Amazon.

You have to sign a 2 yr plan and not be under a contract. Trade in your old iphone and they give you a $200 voucher. Not the best deal if you have a 5s, but good if you have a 4 or 4s.

I just read you have to sign up for a two-year Verizon EDGE contract. What is that?

I've tried to read about the details but it seems vague. They market it as being no extra cost. Is that true?

I'm not too familiar with it but from what I know it's installment based. I have heard they charge a financing fee with theirs but it could be false.
