Why is gruden a pipe dream? Tennessee not being relevevant for 15 years is scary enough to make any coach a possible candidate.

Your entitled to your opinion just like others are entitled to their opinion. I think Gruden would be a great hire. Just like any hire, nothing is a guarantee, just have to look at pros vs cons of each coach imo. Doesn't make us foolish, because there has been numerous sources say he is trying to assemble a staff. I don't know nor does anyone else if it is for college or pro, but he sure looks like he might get back into coaching.

Opinions are great. When an opposing fan comes in and says something people don't want to hear and is retorted with nonsense that is foolish. And please, there are no concrete sources saying anything about Gruden assembling a staff or getting back into coaching.

I'd personally be more excited with a proven college coach if it were my school. And don't forget that Gruden was fired from his last job. I just don't think he's a college coach.

Been here since '08. Been here since the day UT hired Dooley. I almost won the lottery. Almost doesn't count. This is what's wrong with some UT fans. I was here at the beginning of this season when some of you, probably you, were saying that no one could stop UT. Then the first loss some of you, probably you, said "fire Dooley". Did you soil your undies before the Vandy game.......maybe after? :hi:

If Jim Mora is any indication of what Gruden could do, I'll take Gruden all day, everyday.

The job Mora has done in his first season is amazing to say the least.

I give arky fans credit for one thing ... They are thinking way outside the box. In the end Gruden is just using them to bid up his price here. In the end Gruden will be sporting that orange and white visor!!!!!

The only one soiling their panties will be Franklin after we hire a real coach. You guys had Doonan we had Dooley but it's over now. Give us a year or two and we will beat your ass and all you guys will be screaming for Richt's head on a block again. Like the great philosopher DD once said it's all cyclical.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if he ended up at Arkansas. Not because he doesn't want to be at Tennessee, but because I just have a funny feeling the people running the coaching search at UT will find a way to screw it up, it's the Tennessee way :(

The problem is that Chuckie is just sitting back and enjoying the Ar-Tn cat fight over him, but there's only a 5% chance he would pick either school to coach. I predict that if UT offers (as supposedly Arkansas has), he will look at both schools for a couple of weeks before telling both "Naahh, not really into either of you."

I realistically expected 8-4, beating who we were supposed to beat and no one else.

As far as the almost beating you, just saying that you guys get a buttload of talent and don't do much with it. Congrats this year though. Enjoy it while you can.

Not to rain on your theory here but Bear Bryant played for Alabama. That is a pretty good tie in. He was as much a hero to the program as Majors was to UT.
