Army Female recruits can't pass the physical

The navy is saturated with that. I heard how many were expedited off ships because they got pregnant, my daughter said the std counts were very high.
And that is another point for what I said before. You get pregnant in the military, you go to prison. Those women that were expedited off probably resulted in male sailors that were in shore tours being sent back to sea. I saw that happen many times and that was 30 years ago. Men and women are not equal. Sorry, we just aren't. I can't have babies and women can't bench their body weight (Actually that might be a bad example as I can't do it now, but the point is valid)

I never did understand guys falling in "love" with Koreans while I was there but some did.
I was stationed in the PI. Pimplefaced high school kids E-2s would routinely come there and fall in love.... (And wound up marrying the entire family) They got more attention there than they EVER did in Pigsknuckle Idaho. I see it. Easily. And there are beautiful women all over Asia.

I’ve echoed this all along. Women and men are not equal. Those who say they are are living in a fantasy world of made up constructs. Being a trim Carpenter taught me that. But I need to differ on the benching. At 18 I could bench 135 freebar and squat 3 times my weight at 129....raspberries. Now, not so much.

Yeah I didn't give the comparison a whole lot of thought, but you got my point.

I agree there are gorgeous women all over Asia and they do know how to treat their man, until they get to the states and meet the female round eyes.....

I personally don’t find any Asians attractive, but that’s just me... I can understand that fascination though... I think it probably has something to do with their submissive nature... American women are way more independent (or mean some would say 🤷🏻‍♀️)

They certainly do!!! It’s interesting because he was never even interested in dating anyone while he was in school. Turns 18, enlisted, gets shipped off to Korea and comes back married... Then had to wait like 3 years for her Visa to get approved so she could actually come over here. Anyway, I hope it works out for them.
Seen this 1000 times. Its called "dude marries first girl who sleeps with him thinking marriage is guaranteed sex". Oh boy, what a shocker those folks are always in for.

Oh he had plenty opportunities for sex while in high school. He was a star football player... girls were all over his jock... he just didn’t like the relationship games. Date one, but then wasn’t allowed to talk to the others.. that kind of thing...

I heard (don't know how true) the Korean dance clubs and whatnot started bringing in Russian women for "entertainment."

That certainly could have been a lucrative business move.

HMMM. I could do another tour.

The KTA "Korean Tourist Attractions" clubs around Itaewon would have some Filipino ladies working in them but up around Dongducheon and further north were all natives.

Korea had hot local girls at the USAF bases. No one really gave a second look at the American girls...so much so that a lot of dudes were coming back with wives. I remember on kid went to Kunsan for 30 days and wound up married.

Now in Afghanistan or Iraq...those were different stories.

Yea there were plenty of ways to get your fix over there without giving the stationed chics a second look but I saw plenty getting all the attention they wanted. Every guy in my AIT class got sent to Korea and one of them ended up getting married to a Korean chic. I think there was like 8 of us that went.

I remember in Kuwait they caught a couple married folks screwing in the laundry room and made them call their spouses and tell them about it.

I’ve never been in the military and have no interest in doing so mostly because I abhor the way they are treated and used. That aside I don’t think all people grasp the physical demands of being a combat infantry men. Lugging hundreds of rifle rounds plus gear, other weapons equipment etc is not easy. It’s even less easy when you are in 120 degree heat while being shot at it. Strength, speed and stamina matter. If we get into a serious conflict while having women in infantry roles you will see a considerable rise in casualties.

We see it in everyday life and jobs as well. Women are put in positions they aren’t qualified for and men have to pick up the slack. I’m sure the situation could be reversed but I’ve never witnessed it.

Increasing body size is actually something I was thinking about as it relates to combat. My generation sure seemed to be smaller than what I'm seeing in the military now, and I see tradeoffs. We lugged M14s and heavier ammunition (only in basic and AIT for me), and I certainly see a 200+ plus guy handling packs and other equipment easier than someone smaller, but the WW2 guys managed. Where I see the problem is the calories needed to sustain bigger guys and how to drag an injured behemoth out of a fight. That part just doesn't make much sense - logistics don't add up. Remember the old thing about an army marches on its stomach - we're developing mechanical mules to haul supplies, and people keep forgetting that scrawny kids got the best of us not that long ago in jungles where those mechanical mules won't work well. Seems like the military should be working on endurance and not bulk - especially if females in combat are going to be part of the equation.

It takes endurance and strength to be an infantryman. I was in a regular line company for a couple months before moving to a scout platoon and spent the rest of my 6 years in recon/sniper positions and our loads would regularly be 75 to 100+ lbs. Everyone carried either a PRC 77 and spare batteries with a KY 57 and it's spare batteries or the VHF/UHF radio with spare batteries and 50' commo wire. Ammo, 2 claymores, grenades, water (usually 6 quarts) extra socks and Copenhagen. Throw some MREs in along with your woobie and poncho and you have a heck of load to carry. I know I'm forgetting some stuff.

I’m glad you posted that. That’s pretty much what I expected and was trying to get at, but I lack the experience or knowledge to describe with the same precision as you did.

I wouldn’t know definitively but it would seem that bulk to a certain point would be beneficial, but once you pass a certain size threshold you would start to see decreasing returns in efficiency. In my limited experience most of the guys I know who fought seem to be built more or less like linebackers. So more bulky than an average man but not outrageously so.
