Him and Sark both. I think Sark and Lane are both good at playing into old folks' stereotypes of what a young, energetic, coach is supposed to be like and they come off very well in interviews.Dude isn't 50 yet and this would be his 3rd Power 5 job after having an NFL job.
More proof that Lane Kiffin must start every interview with . . . "You are feeling very sleepy."
Auburn may be finding out what we have been dealing with for 10 years. You can't simply break the bank to lure a coach anymore. All the Power 5 schools have TV money.Per a reporter that covers Ole Miss, Lane has a contract on his table from Ole Miss that would make him a top 10 paid coach in the country.
Not sure how you are saying Sarks resume is better.Him and Sark both. I think Sark and Lane are both good at playing into old folks' stereotypes of what a young, energetic, coach is supposed to be like and they come off very well in interviews.
Sark actually has a more impressive resume than Lane. He's been the HC at 3 P5 programs already (including 2 blue bloods), the OC at the premier program in college football, and an NFL OC. That's a borderline Nick Saban-type resume in terms of the number/variety of football jobs he's had. And (I know this sounds harsh) this is a guy with a well-documented substance abuse problem. It's wild.
And it isn't even like he was beating the brakes off people at Washington (and USC) to even parlay that job into the subsequent ones he got. The only explanation is that he interviews very well and is better at cultivating good relationships with the decision-makers at the teams he's worked for.
Since when has Kiffin cared about job security? that’s not how he has or ever will roll. He fits with Auburn beautifully.I don't think so. I think Kiffin is actually comfortable at OM, knows he has a guaranteed job if he simply maintains a winning record, and knows that less chaotic jobs than Auburn will be available in the near future.
Not a chance. Freeze will eventually get another chance at a P5 program. It'll probably be in the SEC. But the one place he will never work is Ole Miss. They cannot rehire the guy whom they fired for contacting hookers from his school phone.
He feels the same way about women that he does about jobs.Agreed. Not just football. Look at Layla snd yet how many times Lane was seen out with coeds. Meanwhile 95% of population would have loved to come home to Layla yet he looked for something else.
The HORNS were one of the flatest teams Saturday Night I have ever watched, and it was worse when TCU was SO vulnerable and playing little better.Him and Sark both. I think Sark and Lane are both good at playing into old folks' stereotypes of what a young, energetic, coach is supposed to be like and they come off very well in interviews.
