Here's the part from the above article that pertains to Phillips. It's very strange that Aubrey tells the News Sentinel after his visit to FSU that he is 90% sure he is coming to UT and then this guy talks to his stepfather the next day and all of a sudden UT isn't even one of his top 2 choices. Doesn't make sense. The stories are in direct conflict.
HOGS IN TOP TWO
Highly recruited offensive lineman Aubrey Phillips of Olive Branch, Miss., orally committed to Tennessee and Coach Phil Fulmer last summer, but that commitment appears to be in jeopardy following Fulmer's departure.
"Right now, the top two are probably Arkansas and Florida State," said Paul Crump, Phillips' stepfather.
Phillips, 6-6, 310, 5.1, and Crump have made official visits to Arkansas (Jan. 9-11), Tennessee (Jan. 16-18) and Florida State over the weekend. Both plan to visit Auburn this weekend before making a decision Feb. 4 on national signing day.
Crump said their visit to Tallahassee, Fla., was good but essentially the same as previous trips.
"Basically, every school does the same thing," Crump said. "They show you their campus, you eat the same kind of food, and it's almost like the same routine. So it's just the matter of meeting the coaches and getting to know them and feeling comfortable."
Crump said a big part of Phillips' decision will be his comfort level with coaches.
"It's about him feeling comfortable with the coaching staff," Crump said. "I want to have a good relationship with the coach to the point that I can call his offensive line coach and ask how he's doing and see if he's doing what he's supposed to be doing."
Crump said Arkansas and Auburn are exploring the possibility of playing Phillips on the defensive line.
"Coach Petrino told him that he would let him try both positions and see which he was best suited for," Crump said. "Florida State is recruiting him solely for the offensive line because they're young on the offensive line and they need another lineman. Tennessee is also recruiting him as an offensive lineman."
Coach Bobby Petrino, linebackers coach Reggie Johnson and defensive coordinator Willy Robinson visited Phillips' school last Wednesday.
"They let him know that they're not going to pressure him and they were going to wait until he made his decision," Crump said.
