Auburn/Cam Newton situation (merged)

So you and some kid who cheers for a rival school of Auburn, have come up with a conspiracy theory?

Not much of a rumor.

Yes... he is a 45 year old kid.
Not quite... He has it all. I simply asked him questions about it. He has called everything well before ESPN has reported it. Take it for what it's worth

Slive has known about this all along and has attempted to bury it so that Auburn could possibly rep the SEC in the NCAA Championship game. I am assuming this is for financial reasons. Is there a chance at repercussions for Slive(if this is true)?

I just discussed this with a friend on BamaOnline. He has been right about everything else... So I can't help but believe this to be true.

Slive is an attorney and pretty slick; he is not going to compromise his position. If he did drag his feet, he had all bases covered.

Hard to take anything that is said about Auburn on BamaOnLine.com seriously, you know.

Yea thats a possibility. If you really want to get your tin foil hat out, you could say that Phil Knight is behind this because he doesnt want an UnderArmour sponsored team winning the BCS and Heisman

Was just giving you a hard time. I just find it hard to believe. Especially coming from someone who most likely loathes Auburn.

If true, this would be monumental, and hilarious. Slive, in all his self-righteousness would go down as a scumbag which he ironically enough swore he was going to get rid of during his term as commish. Hard to believe at this point...not saying its a lie, but still, hard to believe.

Of course he did. He told MSU to "prove it" for all intents and purposes. That's pathetic shirking, but does cover his base.

seems we are getting somewhere in this whole thing...

1) Dad needs $ for his church
2) Rogers says Dad demanded $180,000 to go to MSU (not there yet, but on its way to being Fact)
3) MSU says it refused to pay for Cam
4) Cam regrettably signs with Auburn not MSU
5) Dad's church is suddenly paid for with multiple stories explaining where the $ came from.

Somebody like, THE FBI, is going to connect this...

the money could have come from a hunderd different directions and none could have involved the son. Pop might have been peddling drugs as one possibility... I'm sure he doesn't want feds looking around but not convinced at all it involves the son..

agreed. My point is that the connection of auburn to the church is where the Feds are already looking and will likely break this thing wide open.

Whew! That sounds pretty incriminating but at this point AU is all in as they said. The NCAA needs to act fast.

As soon as the coaches and recruiters involved are named this will be a raging inferno. It's only a matter time.
