Roddick's ground game would even be weak on the WTA now. His forehand is just anemic. Djok's forehand couldn't hold a candle to Roddick's of a few years ago, but now the spread is embarrassing between the two shots.

Bpv, you think djoke has any chance to get his composure back. I would never want to play in 120 degree heat, but the difference in play right now is unbelievable.

You can't imagine what your body does in that kind of heat when you are putting forth that much energy. When it breaks down, you have to listen to it. Regardless, Novak earned some respect from me.

No disrespect, but...you've played in the Australian Open in 142 degree on-court heat?
And I'm sorry, but I can imagine. I've played tennis in some brutal south GA heat.
I've not played in Aussie, but I've played baseball and tennis in brutal heat and I've managed several other outdoor events in extreme heat and I know the importance of listening to what your body tells you to do. He had no chance of beating Roddick with what his body was going through. Based on his history, I can't say if it is improper training or if he didn't properly prepare himself the night before, but either way, you can't fault the guy for keeping himself alive.
If you've really played in such brutal heat, you would understand.
I just wonder why it has happened so many times to him.
