Ob, where ya been man?
you and OC return same day. Hmmm, conspiracy theory activated.
Last month was rough. Real rough.
Short version:
A 3 year old little boy walked out in front of me and I was able to get stopped. There was 6 feet between him and my front bumper.
I thought I was ok. (Mentally). But I wasn't. I woke up twice with cold sweats and screaming in my sleep. I know it sounds like I'm a wimp and I may be, but I couldn't shake it.
A week later my wife finds out she's losing her job. The company is eliminating her position. So she's on the hunt. We are going to have to move. Very few company's around here pay well. She has submitted her resume to a large company in Chattanooga, I'm hoping this pans out, I'd love to get back on Tennessee soil.
Then they send her to California for the week. For (catch this) training. Lol
So this is what I want to know. WTF happened to conservatism?
Something tells me nobody will take on these points. Please respond to these points:
Why Isn't the Right Defending Gray?

i am sorry, i missed where anyone was saying the cops shouldn't be charged. before any of the reports came out all we had was hearsay, and guess what we got guesswork from both sides. the cops will get their day in court for their actions, seems like we are upholding the constitution instead of the witch hunt, burn em burn em, speech we hear from the left.
What does this have to do with anything the article or I said?
Remember the part where I predicted you wouldn't take on points I made? epper:

you made or the article made?
and i did address that: illegal arrest: cops are facing charges
unrestrained in the back of the van: cops are facing charges
him being bad or good doesn't seem to matter in this case he died on their watch they are responsible and facing charges for it.
please explain how this (pressing charges) is burning the Constitution? i addressed your points in that quote with a statement which covered them all: the cops are facing charges.
Hate to hear this, Obs. I don't think you're wimpy at all. A close call like that is going to leave an impression, and thank goodness you were able to react and save that child.
I also understand the stress that comes from a spouse losing their job. I really hope the opportunity in Chattanooga works out. From what I understand it is a fantastic place to live.
What are you talking about? You're trying really hard to derail. I didn't say anything about "burning the constitution". I didn't say anything about the cops being charged or not being charged. It's all about how conservative America reacted to what happened with Gray. You don't have to lynch LEOs in order to be in tune with the support of small government, individuals, and ultimately conservatism.
A lot (most?) conservatives looked for every opportunity to paint Gray as a deserving villain. They tried so hard to defend big, oppressive government. OK, you want the police to be charged now, but that's not what I'm talking about. Whether or not it was a total accident and no officers deserve criminal charges, this is still a blow against conservative values. Americans should not die at the hands of government, for no good reason.
The founding fathers couldnt have forseen the troubles of today which would require the police force(s) we have.
You know..how people try to say the second amendment is out dated..same kind of argument.
OR the short version: conservatives obey the law more
everything in that article was about Gray, nothing to do with what is going on as a culture. how can it be a blow against conservative values if we are using those values to rectify (not the correct word but i can't find a better one("deal with" maybe)) the situation. do you want us to go back in time to stop this situation? would that be enough defending for you? the reason we are "attacking him" (telling the truth isn't popular for you progressives) is because of the rioting. The rioters are using him as justification, bad selection to use as the catalyst. We are merely separating the two events. Attacking the riots while "allowing" the trials to go on, you know per the constitution we don't care about.
Not a gun guy so I don't really care. Do we need a well regulated militia? Nope.
You will never talk about what I am talking about, so see ya.
If you just want to say a bunch of random stuff, don't quote me and pretend like you are responding to me.
Also, I am not a progressive. I am more of a true conservative than most people here. Keeping it simple, I'm libertarian (which Ronald Reagan said is conservatism).
well since i am missing your point, would you care to explain what it is you were saying?

Interesting, well it's not an argument I've ever heard a conservative make. Quite the opposite. They think the founders' protections for individuals should be heeded specifically because they couldn't foresee all the innovative ways government could come up with to oppress us.
