Right now this is a team that should have beaten Vandy and should NOT have been blown out by Auburn or Mizzou in the fashion they were. Only if they are coached and coached up better than this first team was.

I see opinions and blind optimism that have little to do with facts. We support this team more than you do. We are demanding that it gets good coaching. You're accepting poor coaching that will not make the team betteer and turning a blind eye.

There is plenty of talk of football, maybe you just see want you want to see. Plenty of rubbish too but you can wade through a lot of the garbage pretty easily if you try.

The funny thing is that I support Jones... DOING A GOOD JOB. I want the guy to be GREAT. There was nothing at all "great" about his or his staff's performance this year. Not even close. They were outclassed well beyond this team's deficiency in talent.

I hope they're better than that. I hope it has something just radical to do with their system and approach that will really make a difference next year. I would REALLY and truly LOVE to believe that "brick by brick" is code for a process that once the foundation is laid will produce incredible results.

But there are MANY coaches that could have gotten more out of this team. IMHO, that would include Dooley and the staff he brought in 2010. And no... that is NOT a compliment to Dooley. It is a PROFOUND insult to the performance of this staff this year.

Why? Some of us can only handle so much stupidity and negativity. I love the ignore button. It insures I only see posts from people who actually have intelligence.

Interesting concept. Only those who refuse to see bad playcalling, bad gameplanning, lack of adjustments, poor strategies, etc... have "intelligence"?

I have looked for positives all year. I have looked HARD. I thought we were beginning to see a few with UGA and USCe... then all that collapsed with these last 4 games culminating in a totally inexcusable loss to Vandy.

Show me the positives outside of a recruiting class. Show me any sign whatsoever that this team has been coached up or developed or improved in any tangible, demonstrable way.

If you can't... then don't question my "intelligence".

How can Fans.. constantly bash a team they SUPPORT? Fans on VN? few. I understand us rebuilding a team that sucks right now....but the continuous bashing...is it helping the team?
HOW IS BASHING HELPING THE TEAM(vols,remember)?
I bash alabama daily but not as much some so called Vol fans bash the Vols. I think they are more VN fans than Vol fans, plain and simple.
Bashers need to add me to ignore list...please.

Why wouldn't you just add the bashers to your ignore list? You still have to read their posts if they have you on ignore.

There are 3 or 4 on here that are also on gatorsports.com and bash TN there also. They are double agents when they come on here.

Here is a little newsflash for you: when they improved to 10-3 they did not have to beat Alabama and other SEC powerhouses (in other words while the bearcat spread may have worked vs lowly Rutgers and similar pushovers it's unlikely to ever consistently work vs teams that have real athletes on defense).

I have never started a ignore list..don't care to. I just overlook and try to get involved. Just want to be involved and not ignore fans that are UT fans but really hoping to be steered in the direction of not so juvenile "we suck,always will" message/discussion board about UT football. I have heard about volquest,but it cost money i think. Honestly, what do you know about volquest?
