Best Concerts You've Attended

No particular order

1) Incubus (3 diff times-2 in ATL, 1 in Nashville)
2) System of a Down- ATL
3) 311/Snoopdogg....that says enough
4) Red Hot Chili Peppers-Chattanooga
5) Family Values Tour 98- (Korn, Limp Bizkit)...which FYI I hate now ;)
6) Metallica- Turner Field
7) Allman Brothers- which I remember more of this concert ;)
8) BB King-Nashville
9) Violent Femmes-Nashville
10) One of Marley's sons....I get them all mixed up. I was in the Bahamas and they have this huge beach festival. Much like a Bonnaroo or riverbend. Some stranger gave me free tickets cause he couldn't use them. The atmosphere made this amazing. In the Bahamas, on the beach (the stage literally was on the ocean), etc.

can't remember the name of the show, but I saw him with Jimmie Vaughan and Robert Cray as the openers many years back. Don't remember if anyone else was there or not, but those three stood out.

i saw i incubus with the deftones back in 2000. incubus opened and completely blew the deftones away. we actually ended up leaving during their concert because it was so bad.

that was back when they were still playing stuff off s.c.i.e.n.c.e every show.

They are my favorite band. I have been to 3 concerts, and all of them they have played songs from Fungus Amongus and SCIENCE. They sometimes mix up the songs and play them differently, but regardless still play their music. I was somewhat a fan of Incubus, then I saw them live. They are simply awesome live.

SCIENCE is absolutely their best album. Hands down.

Jimmy Buffett (3 times)
Garth Brooks (3 times)
Brooks and Dunn (2 times)
Kenny Chesney
Kid Rock

My girlfriend's company has a christmas party every year. last year girl talk performed. show was awesome.

this year it's the Super Mash Brothers. WTF? This economy has gotten everything down.

Weezer is definitely the most fun I've had at a concert. They put on a good show and do a lot out of the ordinary.

1. Yes - A Performance in the Round - 1978 - The Omni in Atlanta, GA. ...at this time, Yes was probably the best touring band out there. This tour pioneered the "in the round" concept with a revolving, round stage set in the center of the arena. They were the first to do it and their sound system was already legendary at this point. Steve Howe was in his prime, which BTW, was right in the middle of a 5 year stint as Guitar Player Magazine's guitarist of the year award, which BTW, was awarded based on votes from peer guitarists.

2. Phish - Late Night Show- Friday Night at Bonnaroo - June 2009- They did so many older Phish songs that I thought I had put together the set list. The lighting and sound was amazing, coupled with the fact it was at Bonnaroo.

3. Grateful Dead - Hampton, VA - 1983 My first and only true Dead show. Amazing night enhanced by a concoction made with OJ concentrate, frozen rasberries and mushrooms. Show lasted 4+ hours. Fog surrounding arena after show was surreal.

4. The Police - Ghost in the Machine Tour - 1982 - Memphis I've seen them several times. This was, far and away, the best I've seen from them

5. Pat Metheny Band - Imaginary Day Tour - 1998 - Knoxville Best comtemporary jazz band of all time with an epic performance

6. Rush - Exit Stage Left Tour - 1981 - Nashville
Got to go backstage for this show. Didn't actually meet the boys, but hooked up with some cool people. Show was fantastic

7. Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer Tour - 1986 - Atlanta Epic performance by former Genesis front man.

8. Return to Forever - 2008 - Atlanta These guys seemed to be at their best this night. Al Di Meola and Stanley Clarke were especially active and, on fire

9. Umphrey's McGee - 2010 - Lake Cheston Ampitheater- Sewanee, TN . Umphreys hammered out an epic, 3 hour performance with mostly older works. This night proved to be indicative as to why they are one of the best touring bands as they showed their prowess for virtuosity and improvisation.

10. Emerson Lake and Palmer - Works Tour - 1978 - Atlanta Didn't fully appreciate them until this concert.

These are MY very best. I'm sure I've left some off.

Just curious, what venue did you see them at? I feel like a lot of acts are dependent on their venue.

Yes sir on #2! An absolute epic show. Tweezer and Prince Caspian were amazing. Probably the best concert I have been to.

I've seen them at the amphitheater in Knoxville (1995ish) and I saw them at the E-Center in Utah, which is an 8K seat arena.

Great list! I bet this is the first time some have ever heard of Pat Metheny. I do have to admit I was never a fan of Rush though. Which is strange because most of my friends are/were.

Arrowsmith, hands down. Back in the early 90's.

Is that a knockoff of Aerosmith? :wink2:

I saw them a couple of years ago at Philips Arena. Steven Tyler was "distracted". We had standing VIP "seats", way too close to the stage speakers. Left about halfway through the concert.
