Someone in the SEC will hire BP. Im not sure if its his next gig or not, but it will happen.
I just hope it is AU so that we dont have to face him. he owned us last November and something tells me that if he ends up at a school with recruiting grounds more fertile than Arkansas he is going to own the league in short order.

This guy is a straight up winner and would be one of the best hires we could make. Sure, he went and had an affair, but this isn't a morality contest. It's about W's. I don't understand the hate against Petrino.

That's only part of what it's about. Integrity does still matter. He has been a cancer on every program with which he has been associated. It is not the "University of Big Orange Football" it is the University of Tennessee - - the institution must always come first. This is why the US government does not sanction the assassination of foreign government leaders when, as a practical matter, it can often be the quickest way to a "win". You have to have some ethics and some integrity.

is picking up momentum.

Just this week both Jimmy Hyams and John Pennington have more or less endorsed Bobby Petrino. They both said if the decision was theirs to make they would hire Petrino.

While I dont respect his opinion nearly as much as Jimmy Hyams, Will West is also a fan of offerinng the job to Petrino.

I think when and if Gruden officially turns us down, even more folks are going to come around to the idea of Petrino.

Say what you want about his personal demons, I for one feel like Hyams in that Petrino is a more proven winner in college football.

Seems like over the last 10 days or so, we have went from 99% of callers saying "HELL NO" to quite a few saying they want Petrino if we cant get Gruden.

Dude!

Thats your future coach you talking about!

People would change their minds after he won 11 games in Knoxville. Then they would proceed to hate him again after he leaves 2 years later. Eh, I don't know. I've heard some things about him truly being a different person now. Not so sure if it is accurate. He left Louisville in pretty terrible shape for Kragthorpe and has as we all know, a horrible reputation. Doesn't change my respect for him as a playcaller and offensive juggernaut. Coughlin still calls him the best.

Gruden may or may not come, depending on your fantasy.

Patterson and Petersen aren't coming. Ditto Carroll, Harbaugh and the two Kellys. Stoops is doubtful.

Three solid SEC schools are competing for the next-level down options-- Strong, Fisher, Golden, Davis, Dabo-- most of whom VN would consider a letdown.

Then you have the UK prospects and UT rejects-- Dykes, Fulmer, Cutcliffe.

Kirby Smart or Dooley are Hart's preferences.

Tressel is under show-cause.

See why Petrino is picking up steam?
