For big boy football morals and integrity take a back seat to winning record.

Hoping for Gruden but if it came down to petrino are Golden I would take petrino. He does win games golden to much like dooley.

So, knee-jerk sarcastic remarks aside, why the heck would you want the Vols to be put in a position like Arkansas? Why are you willing to take the risk that Petrino does exactly what he's always done in the past? He may win temporarily, but that means absolutely nothing if he misbehaves or throws us to the wolves when something better comes along.

I'm hearing SEC AD's are black balling him...Meaning no team in the SEC is going to go after him...Just a rumor but it makes sense.

Football is cut throat in the SEC. I doubt seriously all AD's would adhere to such an agreement if they really wanted him.

Petrino made a mistake.....

....Whoever hires him will get a great deal, and will reap the benefits.

If UT hired him, He would have us in contention for the SEC championship every 2 years and have us playing in January bowl games frequently. I could see him having UT to the caliber we were in the 90's

Petrino has way too much baggage, we don't need him getting us more NCAA sanctions. I don't think Petrino is what UT needs at this point. If we don't get Gruden then Smart may be Hart's choice, again I don't think Smart is what UT needs either, so I'll Go with Gruden. The announcement of Gruden to Tennessee will simply Blow the Lid off....there will be dancing in the streets and we'll have 2 Christmas's

When has Petrino ever been in trouble with the NCAA?

The guy had an affair, got caught.

He deserves a 2nd chance

Possibly but even greater chance he leaves note on players lockers that he is leaving.

Actually while you are entitled to your opinion, I would like to clarify one thing.

Bobby Petrino is not a cheater. At least not in a football sense. He has ZERO NCAA ISSUES!

Obviously the buy out would have to be ridiculous.....but if I am Dave Hart I would offer him 2 mill a year with open checkbook on defensive coordinator and other assistants.
