Border Wall Thread (Merged)

at the very least it makes it a little more difficult

Properly enforcing immigration laws that are already on the books, reforming other aspects of them (like foreign spouses) increasing the number of agents, ending sanctuary cities, and a de-escalation of the war on drugs will accomplish more and spend far less.

oh I don't disagree with you but there's no denying a wall could act as an additional deterrent

Did the Maginot Line stop the German advance?

Does the Israeli wall stop acts of terror?

Does that fence in your backyard keep your neighbor's dog from ****ting on your patio?

It worked for over a month until overwhelming German forces forced the French to retreat.

You serious without their wall there wouldn't be an Israel.

I don't have backyard fence other than the one around the pasture and the nearest neighbor is half mile away. I also don't have a patio.

But will it? And will it be significant in its effect? And will its effect be worth the money?

These are the real questions that we need to be asking, not "could it be a deterrent?" Of course it could, but that's beside the point if good government is what you're after.

Thanks for proving my point. A wall is only as good as the determination of the person(s) attempting to get around it. A border wall with Mexico might be effective against lone individuals and families but it's not going to stop the drug cartels, MS-13 gangsters, terrorists, human traffickers, etc.

Then why has Israel erected a wall that will be 403 miles in length at completion? The Berlin wall was 11.8 ft tall....Israel's 25 ft tall...

Israel has smart people...

And buses are still getting blown up in Tel Aviv, aren't they?

I find it comical how many trump lovers don't realize it's us the citizens of America who will be paying for the wall. Don't kid yourselves

Original post
I bet there arent 25 damn near verbatim in this thread.

We will all have something to ponder tonight as we try to get to sleep with all the worry we have been beset with.

Oh man. You were doing so well criticizing those who think Mexico will pay...

He is wanting to charge an import tax and then the extra cost will simply be passed on to consumers. Mexico is not paying for a wall. Their president has made that clear. We will end up paying billions for a wall that they will easily climb over.

You're preaching to the choir.

I was poking fun about agreeing with you in your previous comments (Trump/Mexico/wall) until the Rothschild > POTUS.
